This place is utterly underrated. First thing Order the tea, you will get a pot of nice rice tea, which you don't get it from any other typical Japanese restaurant. And you can refill it yourself, maybe because of the lack of staff. The seafood salad is worth the order, but some fish chunks is abit hard to chew. Tamago is OK but the ginger at the side helps in clearing off the after taste before you eat Tamago. Ordered a salmon lover platter, the nigiri sushi salmon looks a little bit dry, the salmon sashimi at the side is generous and nice (thick cut) And cheese octopus, hmm I think can be improve by using a hot plate. Ambience is abit dark There are alot of "reserve" stand placed on every table. (I personally think its not good for fengshui, it gives a certain vibes) Overall I'm actually satisfy eating here as it doesn't have those mayonnaise filled sushi and maki like those typical expensive Japanese restaurants. The price is reasonable, will visit again next time.

After hearing rave reviews about this place again and again- foolishly decided to give this place another try. The appetiser- tamago- had a bloody cooked fly in it- but only realized after i had taken a bite- so returned it. He didnt even bat an eyelid or apologize- just served me another portion. Which is ok. Then to the soba. Overcooked. Tasteless. The grilled squid was burnt, dry and bitter from the excessive char. Sashimi portions were a joke- and they were not even that great in quality. Garlic fried rice was not even to par- not garlicky or fragrant enough. The only probably decent thing they served was the soft shell crab roll. Oh- and nobody bothers to refill your tea here. Would i come back here? Probably not. Ipoh has better options, with a wider variety of food, at a better service and quality.

Delicious japanese cuisine, cute decor by their daughter, quite expensive. The shop is mainly decorated with their daughter's drawing. A lot of seafood are market price, which can be expensive. Especially unagi kabayaki, which only sold as whole piece, priced at 3 figures. We had the salmon lover (salmon sashimi, nigri and maki), enoki butter, soup, a tamagoyaki, and premium sushi roll with salmon and unagi. Seafood is fresh, tamagoyaki is thick, juicy and sweet. The premium sushi roll is luxurious with many flavors from unagi and salmon. Compared to other japanese spot in Ipoh, it is pricier. Good for gatherings, not for daily or casual dining.

If you wanted to experience getting scold in front of the whole restaurant and getting rush out of the restaurant even u haven't finish your food u can try out this restaurant 🙂 terrible terrible service, we just sat down for 5 mins and expect us to done with our ordering, the boss even point at our table and say if we didn't finish our order in 5 mins he will not receive our order🙂 fine, we bare for that, we know that he has the time limit until 8 o'clock and we are also trying hard to finish our food which come late! But he still need us to leave the restaurant even we still haven't finish with our food with terrible attitude! We can definitely understand that u have time restraints but can u remind us at a better manner? Are we deserve to getting this kind of horrible service and still need to pay for the pricy food? NEVER GONNA STEP IN THIS...
