MP BBQ Steamboat — Restaurant in Perak

The place is good, but the food there is meh. There are huge hall that blast a loud music during night time, it is soo loud its annoying n i wonder how other customers eat there, so i asked to sit at outside hall there are private place which is nice and quiet, suitable for family. I bring 7 family members to eat. Well, for me its not price worthy. I paid 380+rm, and the steamboat food are, not fresh. The squid/octopus are as hard as biting rubber, the crab meat taste soo mushy and bad, the oyster is not fresh (isi besar, tapi rasa n bau hanyir walaupun perah lemon, saya penah makan oyster lain kat sabah ok je). The grilled meat and chicken has good taste (cukup rempah, sedap), but its so hard to chew. My mom kinda got upset a bit with the food.

Sorry had to give honest opinion. However, The services are good, the staff is nice, free parking space, and great private place. Wouldn’t go here...

Easy to park. Beautiful decor. Spacious. Easy to maintain SOP. I like seatings for two arrangement because they were hidden and separated from main hall. Felt like we had our personal space. Staff are all nice, quick to attend to our request. Food choices were many, and were top up frequently.

But food taste wise, I would say I have tasted better. Satay marinated meat and chicken tasted great, but some other marinated meat and chicken were too salty. Muttons were hard to chew. Too bad. I couldn't eat them. Less one star here. Chicken pandan was great. Drink choices were many. Dessert not bad but could offer more for kids to choose.

Went to MP Hotpot around 7:30 PM for dinner. The grill wasn’t hot enough and the food took forever to cook. Even after changing the grill, it was still the same. Staff said it’s “normal” and told us to eat slowly, and we couldn’t change tables.

If everything was fine, customers wouldn’t keep asking for a change. I spent over RM100 but didn’t enjoy the food at all. I came here happily looking forward to a nice dinner, but the whole experience was completely spoiled.

I’ve been here before and it was good, but this time was really disappointing. By the time they finally offered to change our table around 9 PM, I had already lost all appetite — felt like I was eating air...
