Nestled in the heart of Greentown, Tandoor Grill Ipoh is more than just a restaurant it’s a cherished destination for my family, where we come together to enjoy authentic North Indian cuisine and celebrate our special moments. From casual family dinners to important milestones, this restaurant has become our go-to spot, offering not only a warm and inviting ambiance but also consistently delicious food that never fails to impress.
The menu at Tandoor Grill is a feast for the senses, taking diners on a flavorful journey through North Indian cuisine. A must-try is the Tandoor Ki Thaal, an exquisite platter featuring a mouthwatering combination of tandoori chicken, chicken amritsari tikka, tandoori garlic prawns, grilled fish tikka, chicken seekh kebab, and mutton seekh kebab. Served sizzling hot, every bite is infused with the signature smokiness of the tandoor.
For those who love creamy, rich flavors, the Butter Chicken is a standout dish. The boneless grilled chicken tikka is cooked to perfection in a luscious tomato-based gravy, enhanced with aromatic Indian spices and a touch of butter for that signature velvety texture. It pairs beautifully with their freshly baked Garlic Naan, which is light, fluffy, and packed with garlicky goodness.
Vegetarians will also find plenty to love, with options like Aloo Gobhi, a delightful preparation of cauliflower and potatoes tossed with onions, tomatoes, and traditional Indian spices. The flavors are well-balanced, making it a satisfying dish on its own or as a side to accompany other mains.
Of course, no meal is complete without rice, and the Masala Biryani is an absolute delight. Fragrant basmati rice is cooked with a medley of spices, creating a dish that is both flavorful and comforting.
Beyond its incredible food, Tandoor Grill holds a special place in our hearts because it’s where we gather for all our small family functions and celebrations. The restaurant offers private dining rooms for intimate gatherings and a spacious banquet hall that can accommodate up to 700 guests making it perfect for events like birthdays, anniversaries, and even corporate functions.
The staff here go above and beyond to ensure every experience is memorable. Their attentiveness and efficiency make organizing events seamless, allowing us to focus on enjoying the company of loved ones while they take care of everything else.
Every visit to Tandoor Grill ends on a high note with their indulgent desserts. The Trio of Dessert a combination of gulab jamun, badami kulfi, and ghajar halwa is the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth. Each dessert showcases different textures and flavors, from the warm, syrupy richness of gulab jamun to the nutty creaminess of badami kulfi.
While Tandoor Grill is considered a fine-dining restaurant with slightly higher prices, the quality, generous portions, and overall experience more than justify the cost. The elegant interior, combined with the aroma of freshly baked bread and sizzling tandoori dishes, creates an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and homely at the same time.
For my family, Tandoor Grill Ipoh is more than just a dining spot, it’s a place where we create lasting memories over incredible food. Whether it's a simple dinner out or an important family gathering, we always leave satisfied, knowing that we’ll be back again soon for another delightful experience. Read moreThis place is a great restaurant indeed. The environment here are so cozy and luxurious. I like how their staffs wearing a cool looking outfit. This restaurant is perfectly neat. There were no dirt at all when I visited here last time. This is what I’ve expected from this grand Indian restaurant.
They serve all kind of Indian cuisines that are just right for my appetite. As I said earlier, the menu here are so wide with various kind of Indian foods and drinks. They were specially prepared by their professional chefs. They are kind and friendly too. I’ve taken a lot of pics of them and the foods here. The price are affordable for most people and I think this is somewhat worth it to eat here. I also think this restaurant is a right place to have dinner with someone special or any dinner events. You can easily reserve a VIP room or a table with just a call or email to this restaurant. My favorite food here are the kebabs. They are so juicy and very tasty. There are two types of kebabs here and that is chicken and lamb.
They also has drink bar and sweets bar which is so rarely seen in Malaysian restaurants. I’m very impressed by their creativity. I like it when the bartender mix the drinks with his skills. It looks so awesome. I’m sure there are mostly professional chefs worked at this restaurant. The foreigners are commonly seen here. Maybe because of this restaurant reputation?
You don’t have to worries about car parks here. There are so many park lot here. There are valet to but their services are mostly for VIP customers. They also has delivery service for nearby...
Read moreI'm extremely disappointed. My fellow tourists, please do NOT be fooled by the number of reviews and stars. Some of them must be paid or fake!
The nann - it should be crispy, but this was not good. Tandori chicken - it was a joke. Not even hot but lukewarm, and the flavors were not there. Grill fish Tikka - where is fish? Butter chicken - okayish, I tasted better.
I ordered a whiskey (the invoice shows a glass, but it was near to the bottom of the glass), and then the waiter asked me whether I wanted Soda water. I said yes, but I was never told I had to pay 6RM.
On top of these they charge 10% service fee. What is SST? Why do they charge another 6.66RM for? Their food was already expensive, and then they added a 10% service fee and SST, so an additional 17.16RM. This is so ridiculous. Dear fellow tourists, check the bill I uploaded. You have been warned!
I also paid more than 20 rm for Grab to go there and come back.
I am okay to pay the high price only if they are good.but it was NOT AT ALL!
I had to eat because I was hungry and also felt a waste of money and food.
When I paid, they did not even ask me whether the food was good. I was going to tell them if I was asked. The entire experience was bad and made my choice to go there so regrettable as there are so many better places to eat in Ipoh.
Please listen to me. Do not try this place, and you...
