Ipoh weekend food hunt started strong with a stop at Mr Steak House Ipoh, thanks to the TikTok hype! Arrived at 10:15 PM on a Friday, and the place was packed, a clear sign of good food ahead. Parking? Plenty available, no stress.

The vibe was lively with a live band not bad, not overpowering, just nice to set the mood.

The Food

The menu? A mix of Western, Malaysian and Thai— plenty to choose from, but we went for a classic Nasi Lemak with Ayam Bakar and Ayam Goreng Rempah. • Ayam Bakar – Juicy, tender, and had that distinct smoky flavor that makes you crave for more. • Ayam Goreng Rempah – Crispy on the outside, juicy inside. The rempah clung to the skin, giving each bite an explosion of spices. • Nasi Lemak – 5/5 rating! The rice was lemak enough with a good santan flavor, but the real star? The sambal. Dark red, sweet yet rich with chili heat—absolutely spot on! Bonus points for the inclusion of sayur kangkung, a rare sight these days.

The Pizza Surprise

We didn’t expect much but WOW, the pizza dough stole the show. This wasn’t some frozen pre-made base—this was legit, soft, fluffy, and foldable like real Italian pizza!

We tried: • Chicken Supreme • Beef Pepperoni • Chicken Creamy Pesto

No matter the toppings, the dough was the highlight—the kind that makes you appreciate the craftsmanship of a good pizza.

Overall, Mr Steak House Ipoh delivered, and it’s safe to say we’ll be back for another round! Highly recommended for those who love good local fusion food with quality ingredients.

One less star for atmosphere was due to no water supply at toilets and sinks but alternately they provided prefilled...

I came here with my family and I have to say, this place truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere felt so warm and comfortable. The restaurant is spacious, not cramped at all, and arranged in such a neat way that it feels almost like dining in a hotel restaurant. Even with a big group, we didn’t feel crowded — everyone could sit comfortably and enjoy the meal together.

The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish we ordered was delicious, well-presented, and tasted far beyond what we expected for the price. It honestly felt like hotel-quality dining, but at prices that are so cheap and affordable. We were really impressed that such premium-tasting food could be enjoyed without having to spend a fortune.

The service was outstanding. The staff were very fast, polite, and so attentive to our needs. They made sure our table was complete, drinks were refilled quickly, and they even checked in with us to ensure everything was okay. Their caring and thoughtful service made the experience even more special, especially because we came as a family.

Overall, this restaurant gave us the perfect family dining experience: comfortable atmosphere, delicious hotel-like food, cheap and affordable prices, and service that is fast, attentive, and full of care. My whole family left with happy smiles and full stomachs. Truly one of the best places we’ve eaten at together — highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal...

It was a worst experienced with this restaurant. We order at 9.45 pm which is 3 warm water and 3 spaghetti. after waited for half an hour our table was still empty and we didn't even get the warm water we ordered . we could understand that the restaurant was so crouded and the staff was so busy but not until this level. It just a warm water which have no recipe to make it and it took so long to serve . and we ask to one of the staff about the water and guy help us to check but after that also it took quite long to serve. And the water we received was so dirty and glass was not clean at all. So we complain to oine of the staff to help us to change the water with respectfully. At this point we was so fade up and still we wait. But after that we didnt get the water back and it was 10 .45 pm . 10.55 pm they inform us that the order we made was not available because milk finish..and at here we was starving for more than 1 hour and they end up it with a cool sorry. It was so disrespectful for us to since we waited for so long. And here is the point 'the people next us got their food before us'. Very worst thing ever . very poor services. I wont recommend this...
