Being a Hakka-yin myself, this place serves authentic Hakka cuisines with ample of parking spots. Not a lot of tables around, so maybe call and reserve a spot before coming. Food quality wise, there’s really nothing much to say apart from being absolutely delicious. I was served brown rice, to my surprise. Definitely not a common practice around here but certainly a welcome one. Price is probably one of the top scoring criteria for this place - proper reasonable price for generous portions. Menu is very diverse so you’ll definitely find something to fit your meal.

This is one of the best authentic hakka cuisine I've ever had. Excellent foods with rich quality ingredients and we really enjoyed every single bite of dishes. Recommended their deep fried lotus with mushroom, steam pork belly and clams with garlic paste; and rice wine chicken. For those pet-lover, lovely kind owner provide big-enough specific separate pet-friendly room with 5 large tables at side doors to house furry pals. Strongly recommended and definitely will revisit again.

Very expensive for food presentation even worse than home cooks. Food looks like even a student can make in dorm kitchen. Only one table when we arrived but even then the server are not at standby, they are chitchating in another table until we call for them. Charging highend restaurant prices. Eggs and vege look simply fried, Tofu jus steamed out of packet. Very bad experience and taste is mediocre at best. The price is over rm200 for what posted in the photo.

I have always tried to avoid giving nasty reviews on Google for anyone and tonight I find no other option than to give this dishonest and rude business the lowest rating possible. They probably deserve 0 stars.

Went for dinner with my parents-in-law. We ordered a steamed catfish (baksougong) and my FIL seeked confirmation from the young lady that the fish is fresh, live and not frozen. The young lady hurriedly assured us that their fish are all received fresh daily. When the fish came, the flesh was tough, sticking to its bones, had a reddish tinge, and had no fresh taste. The three of us had taken about half the fish from the plate and my FIL decided to give his feedback to the lady to remind her of her earlier promise. She came to our table clearly unhappy with the feedback and asked my FIL whether he wants to return the fish, which he agreed. When the bill came, there was still a charge for the fish (which upon questioning they then explained that we had consumed half the fish). We can understand and accept the charge for the fish, but the rude young lady continued to make it sound like the entire inconvenience was our fault... that my parents in law cannot expect seafood restaurant quality at a private little kitchen that is their business. She even had the nerve to tell my parents in law that we should never come back (or that they are not welcome anymore). Wow, for giving honest feedback to them about a broken promise and mismatch of expectations, my FIL had to endure such rude treatment from the young lady. Before leaving, my mother in law told them that they could have been more honest of the quality of the fish with us instead of promising something they could not deliver... the fish was clearly not a dish any private kitchen big or small can be proud of. They should have been ashamed for trying to scam an old couple when they had already make clear their questions before ordering. Rude, dishonest business, rest assured we will not return to...

Absolute enjoyable n yummilicious family dinner experience in this bungalow-lot restaurant which serves a wide selection of Tai-chow n drinks. Very friendly n lovely owner who will explain/recommend vegan and non vegan dishes upon request. Highly recommended yam abacus n sweet n sour pig trotters. Free refill of hot n cold water dispenser. Got a few private rooms for those who prefer privacy while dining. Love their garden where family can take memorable photos n kids can run freely n play with their siblings before tucking in d healthy cooking no MSG meals. Ample parking space in d bungalow lot. Owner got a cute poodle rescued frm the street n a white mixed-breed for canine lovers to view . Delivery order service available too. Owner also do community service by feeding strays in Papan landfill. Diners can chipped in to help strays by donating any amount in d box available at the counter. Will definitely come again n recommend to my frens n relatives. We went and sampled their food 3 days in a row. Coming from a hakka, their food is authentic. The dishes are well seasoned, delicious and flavorful. Price is affordable as we ordered more than enough food for our company of 8 pax. The restaurant offers true private dining experience in traditional setting. Service is good and all staffs are attentive and friendly. There are good variety of food including vegetarian dishes like the fried lotus roots with mushrooms. It is one of the most unique dish with amazing flavor and perfect seasoning. Do keep in mind that traditional hakka dishes goes really well with rice.

Highly recommended if you happened to visit Ipoh. They are located just next to Impiana Hotel. Place has ample and free parking. What's...
