The cockles and oysters are huge and fresh. Oysters are a bit expensive 1 oyster RM16, but it's really good because it's from Japan so it's worth it even though it's expensive.
Salted grilled seabass fish fresh and tasty comes with 3 types of sauce, the taste for the sauce needs to be improved a little lack of taste. But the three sauces are very unique and you won't find them anywhere else.
Whole grilled squid, need to choose first 1.Small, 2.Standard & 3.Large. Squid is overcooked until became rubbery and bitter to eat.
Tomyam you are also given a choice of large or small. I think the tomyam is very tasty, but even the large portion is still a bit small for me. 1 large Tomyam can be shared by 2-3 people only. It's just that the shrimp in the tomyam is a bit mushy, like it's not fresh.
The grilled unagi is also very tasty, it feels like eating in a Japanese restaurant. The octopus legs were not left behind, after being disappointed with the overcooked squid. We tried the octopus legs, which were very soft and tasty.
The choice for food and drink is also very variable. You guys should try their mocktail 👍🏻
Overall everything is okay, only disappointed by the unavailable of white rice and replaced with hard and sticky tomato rice its like glutinous rice. But the restaurant gives a half price discount on each rice.
The workers in front are very friendly and always helpful.
The price is a little high, but okay for once in a while. The outdoor area only open, the indoor area is still...
Read moreI came all the way to Ipoh hoping to enjoy some authentic kampung-style food. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing as the dishes we ordered didn’t meet our expectations despite the good reviews we had read.
We tried asam pedas bawal, daging salai masak lemak Negeri Sembilan, and sambal sotong. Out of these, only the sambal sotong was acceptable. The asam pedas Johor (as written on the menu) lacked the true taste of asam pedas, and the portion was very small for two people. They only served half a piece of bawal (part of the fish head) for RM24.90, which didn’t feel worth the price.
The daging salai gravy was quite okay, but it wasn’t spicy at all as claimed. For a proper masak lemak Negeri Sembilan, it should have been spicy with a well-balanced taste. Overall, the portions were small and the prices on the higher side - RM20.90
The ambience also wasn’t suitable if you’re looking for a quiet dining experience. I didn’t expect fine dining, but at least a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy the food. At that time, there were only two tables occupied — us and another group of four ladies — yet their loud talking and laughter made the environment unpleasant, and no effort was made to keep the place comfortable.
Overall, this was our first and...
Read moreWent there for a quick lunch. But in the end waited 50mins for our meal to be served. At that time including us only 4 tables (3-5pax per table).
We ordered Sup Ayam, Telur Dadar, Rendang Tok & Siakap 3 rasa.
When the fish was served, it wasn’t fully cooked. So we sent back the fish to the waitress. Waited another 20mins, and we get our “burnt” fish.
The kitchen fried the fish again (with sauce), and they added more sauce for us. The whole fish was burnt and bitter. We didn’t finished the fish, because it was toooo bitter and no appetite to finish at all. The restaurant gave 10% discount of the fish.
I didn’t get to take photos of other dishes, because we were tooooo hungry.
The rendang Tok tastes fine, it just that when the rendand was cold when served.
Atmosphere- I think when we get there, the aircond under maintenance. It was soooo hot and not ventilated. So the waitress sent 3 families (including us) to a small private dining room.
Our total bill for the lunch was RM 110.55. (Sup Ayam, Telur Dadar, Rendang Tok, white rice x2, Siakap 3 rasa, & 1...
