Paloh Bean Sprout Chicken 壩羅芽菜鸡 — Restaurant in Perak

Dear friends, don't order their Taro Pork Belly. The taro has soured (almost spoiled) and the pork belly is drier than bakkua. Can say as dry as meat floss. Looks like all their iced drink comes in this small metal cup with ice to the brim. Same like last time when I ordered iced sugar cane. My uncle ordered hot lemon less sweet but it came with a tonne of sugar. The hot drink also comes in this same metal cup as all the cold drinks. Chicken feet is marinated til translucent and salty. Suspected to be stored too long. Their chilli sauce condiment is spoiled in my opinion. The prices are higher than regular prices in Ipoh. Probably because of air-conditioning and decorations. Service is ordering on your own through scan barcode. So, the waiter/waitress only focused on cleaning tables. They won't really entertain you unless you are desperate to talk to them. The pictures in their digital menu is not to be trusted. Such as the iced drinks, it doesn't come in tall glasses. It comes in small metal cups. The flies that are in my picture are barely the amount my family and I experienced. It was our first visit here but a very sad and disappointing one. They didn’t have a physical menu - the elderly in Ipoh still prefers traditional physical menus even with technological advancement but they didn’t even have that option The online menu is really not optimised properly and the thing that annoyed me most was that when I ordered “Breast” for 3 dishes that have chicken in them, they decided to ignore it, this is basic chicken rice order stuff man… The place was infested with flies, 80% of the time my family and I were just waving our hands to shoo the flies on our food, drinks and even our clothes, I’m really surprised people can still eat there These things were already ruining our experience and we loss our appetite and decided to rush through our meal while doing kung fu with the flies. We just want to share this so that no other customers have to go through what we went through. Absolutely the worst experience eating chicken rice in Ipoh. Ordered roasted chicken rice, clearly requested chicken breast, and they gave me a drumstick instead. We hadn’t even started eating, so we asked for a replacement. Then the staff come back and say, “Oh, our chicken breast is out of stock.” Fine. I told them to refund the chicken—I’d just eat the rice. So there I was, eating chicken rice without the chicken.

Then, when we went to pay, we saw whole roasted chickens hanging right in front of us. So we asked, “Didn’t you say there’s no chicken breast left?” And their pathetic excuse? “Sorry, no requests for parts are allowed for a single meal.” My boyfriend’s duck rice came exactly as he ordered, but somehow, my request wasn’t acceptable?

So every regular chicken rice stall can fulfill part requests without a problem, but this so-called chicken rice shop can’t? If they had a policy against it, they should have been upfront instead of making up some nonsense about chicken breast being “out of...
