Family trip to Ipoh so was introduced to dine here. Place was crowded as its lunch time. Staffs are moving around attending to diners. We ordered roast chicken, roast pork and char siew as a triple combo plate. ¼ serving roast duck and a side turnip dish. Rice is cooked in fragrant oil but lack the chicken stock taste. So the 油饭 is some fragrant oil than the usual ”鸡饭”. Roast duck is good. Has a herbal after taste. Roast chicken is salty. Roast pork is really good! Nice distribution of fats and meat. Skin is nicely roast to give you the crackle. Also char siew is well distributed if meat and fats. Tender with a good bite. Sweet but not overly. Turnip dish is well flavoured and soft to the bite. Very satisfying meal. -1 star because of customer experience which I shall not explain much. Probably due to peak hours and me...

We ordered take away portion for 4, was recommended taking half of the duck which we are fine , and added some roasted pork and side dishes as well.

Although it’s just a 5km drive, when we got home we realized there wasn’t any sauce given, well people make mistake right? I don’t mind and I drove out again with sister.

The staff was giving us an attitude telling my sister he has given us sauce . And only give us one sauce without the “dang gui” sauce .

Excuse me, if you already given the sauce why am I driving out purposely for that??? It made my sister felt like she was at fault and the staff being kind to give us another sauce???? Well no next time anymore.

Additional note. 4 portion 3 rice, and only 3 spoon given. It’s okay that’s not a big deal but it was the attitude that made our family disappointed. Will not...

!!! BEWARE OF THE LADY BOSS!!! The food is good. As always I love SYW's roasted duck. Today I wana give a very bad review towards the lady boss herself. The one wearing a flower pattern blouse. Maybe she is rich in the T10 category and she doesn't care about business. Or perhaps her ego is sky up thinking her business is very successful.

I came with my family as usual and btw, we visit SYW outlets at least 4 times a month throughout Ipoh. She gave me the worst service and this is the second time.
