The Chicken Rice Shop Ipoh Parade — Restaurant in Perak

Had lunch there about 3 weeks ago. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. The staff provided excellent service. Elderly customer in a wheel chair was made to feel quite at home. Negotiating around the tables was a little tight but staff helped tremendously. So grateful for their kindness and thoughtfulness. The food was good, steamed and roast chicken was tender and delicious. The rice was nicely prepared and fragrant. The pai ti was average as they weren't as crispy as we'd like, but it was acceptable. The meal was delivered in an exceptionally short time, it was a very pleasant surprise. The food I'd rate at 4 Star, service at 5+ Star and pricing at 4 Star, good value for $$. Have ate here twice. it's average as far as The Chicken Rice Shop goes. Typical TCRS experience. Food quality and taste have declined over the past few years, but that's a brand issue, not this particular restaurant issue but it reflects. Food was good as any other TCRS branch. today 18/5/2025 , i claim for ‘FREE’ ONE SINGLE COMBO MEAL and deduct 150 points in app. but the one who took my order said this one doesn’t have chicken rice included (only chicken) so he told me to add-on one. he might be misunderstood the voucher i use with the one ‘RM1.80 for 1/4 chicken every 18th of month’. the portion was to large for me to finish alone, i just wanted the FREE one. ended up the meal wasted & i still need...
