We arrived on a quiet Friday evening at approximately 5pm and found the restaurant largely empty.

Due to our corner table but still front part of the restaurant, it was difficult to get the waitstaff’s attention for service.

We opted for the a la carte menu. The prices are typical of a premium establishment in a hotel setting and are therefore reasonable. However, the food quality was disappointing.

For example, our steak was not cooked to our desired doneness and was prepared as the staff saw fit. When we asked, they said it was cooked all the same but we all opted for different doneness prior. This was a significant disappointment given the price of RM88. The sauce choice was also totally different from what we asked for.

Other items were also not especially exceptional but came with premium pricing which is understandable.

The cakes were particularly underwhelming.

Notice how there are many fingerprints on the plate as well. They even forgot and miss our orders. The appetisers came much later after our mains arrived.

Despite the restaurant’s good location in Ipoh, the food quality was below my expectations.

Our bill came to RM700-RM800 but i would not say I had a great time there. Giving lower rating than usual because it was a...

Very disappointing. Hotel charged extra, over the chinese new year holidays, calling it the 'New Year Brunch Buffet' at 103 per adult, but the spread was the same if not worse than usual. Mushroom soup was watered down, bread rolls were hard and cold, and worst of all, they didn't even serve real butter, just some butter substitute! Roast beef and chicken were cold and dry, with no other suitable accompaniment available like roast veggies or potatoes. I mean, at least fry up some frozen chips if your chef is not bothered. The pasta station was an absolute disaster, with no chef in sight to toss your noodles - instead we get a very lost-looking waitress (poor girl) reheating preboiled spaghetti in a pot of hot water, then slopping on tomato sauce which obviously looked like it came straight out of a can. Only saving grace was the coffee cake, which, at over a hundred rm per head, just was not worth it at all. To the people at Tiffin -what happened?? Service was good, but what's the use when the food quality was so poor I could l could've gotten better dishes at a school canteen. Definitely Not coming back in a...

5-Star Buffet Experience!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the buffet at Tiffin Restaurant and it was truly a memorable dining experience. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding – from fresh seafood to perfectly cooked hot dishes and delightful desserts, every item was well-prepared and beautifully presented.

What made the experience even more exceptional was the warm and attentive service. A special thank you to Ms Jess, whose hospitality stood out throughout our visit. She was welcoming, professional, and ensured that every guest felt cared for. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail truly elevated the entire experience.

Highly recommend this buffet to anyone looking for great food and excellent service. Looking forward to coming...

Had the dinner buffet on a weekend and was amazed at first but slowly amazement turned to disappointment on certain dishes. The fresh cocktail selection of fresh seafood was tantalising to the tastebuds but, the oysters were not particularly fresh and there was a big fly on the flower crabs. Sashimi was just standard average, i understand as many varieties are served here so cant expect to be superb. Satay is many tads too sweet and many room for improvement there. The spices in the indian cuisine is not enough and not that aromatic, just average. Hope to see improvement here, the place used to be filled to the brim but its hey day is nowhere to be seen. Not too late to remedy the situation
