I ordered beef & brisket noodle soup and it was such a disappointment.
The soup is not hot enough to cook the raw brisket. The soup is not even warm. I called one of their staff and he failed to understand/ communicate in English, Mandarin or Malay. He just stood there, looking at us like a statue of liberty. While failing to understand me, he just left and don't even call out other staff to assist me.
We called the staff at the cashier and asked if it was normal for the beef to be raw like this even after stirring with the soup. The staff said we have to cook the brisket inside the soup. I told him, yes I know but how do we cook it if the soup is not hot? Then the staff go to the kitchen and ask for a small bowl of soup. As you can see the brisket is still not fully cooked (still pinkish) even after dipping it into the new soup (imagine how raw it was).
Who running a Vietnamese restaurant with no Vietnamese bay leaf? This condiment is so basic and essential yet it's unavailable. Funny where there's a teaching sign on "how to harvest a basil" but no basil. I approached one of the kitchen staff and he replied it was out of stock.
I am not a wasted person if I know how bad the taste will be, I will go with the smallest portion. That portion is for me and my partner to share but we can't even finish it due to the awful taste.
This is my first time eating in An Viet, but not my first time eating in a Vietnamese restaurant. To conclude, I'm not sure if it's only bad during my visit or if it's the outlet problem but I might not want to...
Read moreGreat menu!! And a very comfortable, cosy looking restaurant. The staff here were all very friendly and attentive. Great job to everybody indeed. So many delicious looking things on the menu it was very hard to decide what to order. We eventually got an appetizer platter, lemongrass chicken bahn mi, and a premium raw beef noodle soup. Everything was served in quite a timely manner. They also serve egg coffee, which took some time to prepare, but it was a really interesting experience. It was really quite sweet, and the whipped egg tasted more like a meringue or dalgona on the top. It was thick and creamy. And the coffee flavour is strong. I love their condiment bar, where you can take Thai basil leaves and lime wedges for your soup, as well as various sauces. The homemade sriracha sauce is excellent. There is a freezer outside their shop where you can buy some of their food in packets to take home and reheat. I tried to buy 2 frozen bahn mi but unfortunately the staff told me they were all booked by other customers and there was none left. Haha oh well! Better luck next time. But all in all would absolutely visit again. Everything we ordered was very delicious and we enjoyed our...
Read moreWhen the service it self is excellent, the taste and/or the ambiance is not even important cause while ordering we already enjoy the whole experience already. This makes the anticipation for our food another level up. Been a while since we ran into such a jovial and yet so helpful waiter, I’m coming back here no matter if the food is any good…… anyways will be exiting and adding on after the meal arrives………..to be continued!! 😂😂😂😂😂👌👌
To the owner of An Viet @ paradigm mall, you are absolutely the luckiest or is it your internal staff training that made your waiter this good?. Well I was hoping to be more enthusiastic about your food but it’s just one of those Vietnamese restaurants that are mushrooming up in the city landscape!! Can’t really be too excited for your food, acceptable I say yes, any good I would give a thumbs up but not enough to sing praises. Loved the authentic flavours especially the lemon grass chicken but not exactly too exotic to give a very good review. Coming back again, of course but...
