In my opinion, this is a good park for families to enjoy. It has a several play gyms for children clustered in one location(Jalan Stadium SS 7/15 entrance). Therefore, you need not go from one location to another for the children to play. There are exercise apparatuses for the adults too at the other side of the park(L.D.P. entrance, besides the park administration building) and along a path that cut across the lake. As the park is big, visitors can jog/run around/in on the concrete paths. Anglers are often there too. This park has many trees and make it cool. Therefore, it is ideal for a stroll or a leisurely walk.
After working out in the park, a visitor can take a swim at the Kelana Jaya Municipal Pool(Kompleks Kolam Renang Kelana Jaya) which is besides it. Unlike the park which opens from morning to night, the swimming pool has its own operating hours and entrance is chargeable.
This park can be accessed from three locations. One from Jalan Stadium SS 7/15(ample parking bays from the park and the swimming pool complex) and two from L.D.P. (besides the park administration building and the other is after the overhead pedestrian bridge connecting Pos Malaysia Kelana Jaya. However, these two entrances offer limited parking bays).
Currently, the park has only one location with functioning toilets which is the Jalan Stadium SS...
Read moreThe place is a run-down, the pavement is wet, full of weed, super slippery very dangerous no matter how gripping your brand new shoes are. Not suitable for children and elderly. Since MCO phase 1, they havent even care to maintain the place. A large part of the park is inaccessible due to fallen trees, landslide, unstable pavement concrete.
Part of the pavement is submerged under water and very slippery. The toilet is also inaccessible even though there three toilet places, but none can be used. I even need to ask for the guards permission to use the locked toilet and upon entering the toilet is really ancient looking like a loo in a jungle vibe.
The water of the lake is very murky, full of trash floating, collecting debris, you can even see a dead animal carcass floating from afar and it is very smelly. I have been to this place many times before (i live nearby) but the scale of the damage of the park is just horrendous. Luckily i found a cute white male cat and thats the only pacifying thing...
