All the food was sooo good. Lemme break down on all the things we got!
Boat noodles - 8/10. So soo good. The noodles was chewy, and the soup taste like grandma cooking, its not bland at all, and it pairs well with the noodles!
chicken skin- 8/10. It was sooo crunchy and tasty, not too salty, and it pairs well with the sauce with the bijan.
Small chicken in a bowl- 9/10 for the sauce. I am not sure whats the namee but it was so good. And it comes with one sauce (it has bijan in it). The saucee was so so good. I literally almost ask for the recipe. It taste spicy, and sour and the same time, and it makes you want moreee! It was so good, please ask for the sauce when u gooo it was soo good.
Kerabu maggie- 9/10. My first bite blow my mind lol. I was so shocked cause it was so goood. It taste little spicy, and little bit of sourness comes after, the when u chew a bit more it becomes more flavourful. It was delicoussss.
Thai red tea-9.5. I think we all know at this point that their teaa is the best. The first sip, it taste sweet and creamy, and pairs well with all the food. I love it as they serve the tea in the tyeso-like cup (sorry i forget what we call it). The drink keep cold until we finish our meal.
Bread with kayaa. 7/10. The bread was soo soft, and the kaya topping nicely sweet. It doesnt taste like egg or overly sweet. Really pairs well with the soft bread. Soo nice as dessert after the meals🫶🏻
And the staff was soo friendly and the atmosphere was sooo nicee its perfect to chill with your friends and familyy. Yeahh and shoutout to kamelia and Harith, they were soo friendly :,(. I had a bad day today actually but after went there I was sooo happy cause all the good food and the friendly environment.
Sorry for the long review, this is just an honest review from mee. Hope yall have a good dayy every dayy....
Read moreFor the uninitiated, Boat Noodle takes its concept from the floating markets of Thailand, were bowls of noodles were dished out by traders on boats. These bowls contained a small amount of noodles and some condiments and were popular since they were very cheap and were tasty.
It's been a while since Boat Noodle appeared in the KL dining scene. I remember it being a craze back when it was first launched where diners used to challenge each other as to how many bowls one could eat, and it became a badge of honour to see a tall stack of bowls at your table. Those days are pretty much gone now, and nowadays it's just small stacks of maybe three or even four bowls per person.
Credit must be given to the company for constantly revamping their noodle offerings, and keeping things fresh.
This outlet at IPC is pretty much the same as any other Boat Noodle outlet. You walk in, you order your noodles and other dishes on a piece of paper, and hand it over to the server. In minutes, your noodles arrive.
This IPC outlet seems to serve lukewarm to sometimes room temperature noodles, which is a shame, as they are meant to be hot. I think that's the common complaint from the other reviews here as well.
Special mention must be given to a side dish - Ayam Legend. This barbecued piece of chicken is an absolute must, and is on my order every time I visit any of the Boat Noodle outlets.
Service here is OK, except on my last occasion, when I was dining with a friend. We ordered an Ayam Legend each, and they came about 10 minutes apart, which we thought was quite strange,
Prices undoubtedly have gone up, and it's not quite in the category of cheap eats anymore, which might explain the lesser crowd. Understandably it's a vicious cycle, but Boat Noodle remains a relatively reasonably priced quick fix when...
Read moreMy recent visit to Boat Noodle at IPC was a mix of nostalgia and new discoveries, though I must admit there was a slight disappointment compared to my previous visit a year ago. However, the overall experience still managed to shine through as fantastic.
First and foremost, the ambiance at Boat Noodle remains inviting and providing a perfect setting for enjoying Thai street food. The rustic decor and warm lighting create an atmosphere that's both comfortable and engaging.
Now, onto the food. While I had fond memories of Boat Noodle's signature dishes from my last visit, I did notice some changes in the taste of the food and gravy. It wasn't quite the same as I remembered it, which was a tad disappointing. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find some new items on the menu that were absolutely delicious. The innovation in offering new flavors and combinations is commendable.
Despite the minor inconsistency in the dishes, Boat Noodle still manages to capture the essence of Thai cuisine, and some of the flavors were genuinely outstanding. The noodle bowls, although slightly different, were still enjoyable, and the variety of Thai snacks and appetizers offered a delightful range of tastes and textures.
One aspect that hasn't changed is the affordability of the food. Even with some changes in taste, the prices remain reasonable, allowing for a satisfying meal without straining the budget.
In summary, my recent visit to Boat Noodle at IPC was a blend of nostalgia and new experiences. While there was a slight disappointment due to changes in the taste of some dishes compared to a year ago, the overall experience remained fantastic. Despite the minor hiccup, I would still recommend Boat Noodle to food enthusiasts looking for an enjoyable and...
