Had a family dinner for 12 pax on a Saturday night. The place was not full. We had to wait only a short while as the staff prepared the tables for us. Kudos to that. When we sat, the waiter didn’t hand out any menu until we realized that there was a placard on the table saying menu is viewable online via a QR code. The least they could do is to mention this to us. We also saw some tables were given a physical menu, so we asked for it for our parents and kids. When the orders came, the cutleries didn’t come together. We had to asked for it. After a while waiting, cutleries have yet to arrive and food is getting colder, we went to the bar area asking for the cutleries again and to notice the cutleries tray was empty. At least they could mention this to us rather than kept us waiting. Minus points for that. Overall food was excellent as what you could expect from Chilis. Only one thing that ticked us off was the steak that was ordered medium-rare came out inconsistent. There were areas of the steak which was rare blue (See picture). Overall, apart from the so-so service, we enjoyed our dining there. One thing worth mentioning, we noticed a hike in prices in the menu. Few weeks back, in a different Chilis branch, the Honey chipotle chicken crispers was RM29.90 and now it is RM34.90.
3 years ago: Great service and ambiance. Compared to the last time we visited this branch, the interior is more lit up and brighter than what it used to be. Great for family dinner. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive. All your request would be dealt with in a...
Read moreI have been coming to Chili's since it opened it's doors in the Klang Valley with my 3 children. Our long time favourite was the outlet in Bangsar.
When Chili's opened an outlet in the newly reopened Jaya Shopping Mall, the family was thrilled and we started visiting, on average, twice a month.
They didnt have too smooth a start and it seems there were several changes of policies, in the kitchen, which had teething issues. One manager in particular, was very attentive to our feedback and reacted proactively - En Adib. He dealt with every issue quickly, efficiently and with a huge smile.
Today I was sad to see that En Adib was on leave but delighted to be served by a wonderful server - En Syazwan. He took our order enthusiastically, got all our particularities correct and asked pertinent questions. The action that pleased me the most was when I asked for milk for my hot tea, he made sure the milk was hot too - a small detail that most staff do not attend to but which makes a difference to regular tea drinkers.
My sincere commendations to En Adib and En Syazwan. The service industry needs many more...
Read moreThe worst dining experience ever. Everytime I need anything I have to call the guy who is manning the entrance. A glass of cold water takes 15 mins to reach my table!!!!!!! I understand it’s a little bit busy but come on a glass of ice water for 15 mins?? My pasta came first before my caesar salad. Best part was when I paid they didn’t gave me my change back. I literally have to wait yet another 10 to 15 mins and have to call the guy from the entrance once more that i need my change. They spend more then 5 mins discussing then gave me rm8.20 for change. I have to dumb the math down to them that I paid rm61.20 for a rm51.20 bill. Did they not check the amount that I gave? Don’t think so. No receipt no nothing. Chilli’s jaya shopping center you need to fire your cashier. They are really incompetent of doing basic math which they don’t even need to count by themselves. The cash register would count it for you. I’m never going to dine in this place ever...
