Visited to try their coffee time promo offering rm2.9 for americsno, aka simply black coffee! I saw its promo banner here and there on mezzanine floor.
So decided to give a try for my caffeine fix on that day. The time is 3pm to 6pm only weekdays that's I figured out at the restaurant. Also they do have a lunch set promo including a drink that's on weekdays only as well. Anyway, luckily it was Friday i visited around 4 PM due to CNY holiday, otherwise the promo for either lunch or coffee time won't be feasible for me.
The staff is full of smiles, very friendly. I had a nice inhouse brewed coffee, that's has a bitter and little fruity note. Still love sipping the hot coffee sitting next to the ceiling high glass window, where i was overlooking the greenery golf course and water pond just right outside.
The restaurant interior has a very retro disco feeling mixed with some comic themed. I see quite a few family diners group who are having typical western food items.
It's situated near the center stage where all kinds of seasonal events are held, and right next to the chinese Esquire kitchen, after coming from the...
Read moreIf you’re on the hunt for a relaxing spot with good Western food, Chillax lives up to its name. I dropped by recently and tried their Fish and Chips, and I must say – it was a pleasant surprise!
The fish fillet was golden and crispy on the outside, yet soft and flaky on the inside – exactly what you’d hope for in a proper fish and chips dish. The batter was light, not overly greasy, and had a nice crunch with every bite. It was served with a generous portion of fries, which were hot, crispy, and well-seasoned.
What really elevated the dish was the homemade tartar sauce – creamy with just a hint of tang that paired perfectly with the fish. A small side salad added a refreshing touch and balanced out the meal nicely.
The ambiance at Chillax is cozy and laid-back – perfect for casual hangouts or solo chill sessions. The staff were friendly and the service was fast, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
If you’re craving a solid plate of fish and chips in a relaxing setting, Chillax is definitely worth a visit. Great food, good vibes, and fair prices – what more can...
Read moreWe came over for dinner and wanted to visit BookXcess immediately after. As this is nearby and the decor was just amazing, I thought it good to try. Biggest mistake. It took circa 45-50mins for the meal to arrive that the kids were practically complaining in hunger! And for the price that they are charging at least some free dinner rolls with butter / free flow water would have helped with our mood, but none whatsoever. No coming over to alert us of the busy kitchen nor apologise for the delay until when we ask. I thought of looking at the bookstore while waiting for the food but were told just 5mins more.... Few seconds more... Yet it was way longer than that. By the time food arrived, we didn't bother to take pix and just eat. To make matters worse, the food wasn't even worth the wait! Meatball pasta was so average I could have made it at home. Fajitas was tough meat on a hot plate with store bought ONE slice flat wrap cut into 4. Burger was a let down. 1st and last visit. Needless to say we didn't manage to visit the bookstore after dinner as we finished close to...
