Saw some post about this place and decided to give it a try.
Now first thing, it took me a couple of hours to call them before someone actually picked up the phone for me to make a reservation for a table of 8 for Christmas Day.
I have to say the 10 types of meat that they promote are just 10 different cuts of pork and chicken. They have variety of cooked hot food - like really a lot but imagine fried chicken, fried rice, japchae, etc are all cold and dry. For a restaurant of this size packed with customers, I expect them at least have a proper buffet counter that keeps the hot food warm but sadly no. Sad to say, the only hot food that’s hot/warm is their seaweed soup.
If you fancy cooking your own ramen, they have. A fiery of instant ramen for you to choose from. Even a frying pan to fry eggs. All self service ya.
The drink selection is good but most aee soft drinks and packet drinks.
One thing - becareful that it can be quite hot underneath the table. Careful not to touch it with your leg if you sit crossed leg. I have to say also that their service is good though for a buffet restaurant.
Summary: it could have been a four star or more if the various hot food they offer at the buffet line is kept warm. Also they need to maintain their SOP with this pandemic. People just crowd the buffet line with no social distancing. Overall ok, but for the price, I think there’s other better Korean bbq...
Read moreWe were looking for a Korean BBQ place and we went for this one. I was pleased with the variety of food being offered here ranging from the meats, vegetables, side dishes, soft drinks and also a self cooking corner where one can pick from an assortment of ramen instant noodles and cook it to their liking. However, the taste of the side dishes can be further improved. While I was instantly amazed with the offerings of korean fried chickens, I was a little let down as the flavors can be further enhanced and the meat can be more moist. In addition, the side dishes weren't warm and the fried items were no longer crispy. It would be great if these side dishes can be kept warm at all times. Moving on to their BBQ meats, I felt that the pork marination and seasoning was decent and the meat was tender provided you do not overcook them. They also offer aged pork shoulder and pork belly with herbs that were milder in taste for those who prefer a lighter flavors. In contrast, no seafood (except squid), lamb and beef are offered here but that didn't bother me frankly. Speaking of service level, the staffs looked aloof and could have been more attentive in clearing up empty plates on our table. Overall, the food here ranges from average to needing improvements but having said that, if you're looking for a place with wide selections and good value for money, you can give this...
Read moreUpdate: Came back again because its good and it still is. Taste wise everything was great but could do better in terms of hygiene. Baby flies were everywhere, even found one resting on the meat under the covers. Would be good to invest in a fly trap or something.
I forgot how I heard about this place but I have been meaning to try. Price I heard was below RM 50 for some pretty great KBBQ buffet.
Came by on a random Friday night, service was great, staff were friendly and helpful. The grill took a while to warm up and for the first half of the grilling, it was pretty slow. But towards the end it was rather heated already. Their sweet sauce pork was SUPER good, especially after it gets a little burnt, when the sauce has been caramelized on the pork. Went very well with rice. Drinks are also free flow, they have them in little bottles. Would be worth considering one of those soda dispensers, probably more eco friendly than the plastic bottles in the fridge.
Someone in the reviews mentioned that the ventilation in this place could be better, and that I agree with. It got a bit stuffy, would have helped with some vents.
Anyway, price came up to about RM 45 per pax, super value considering an average meal at a KBBQ restaurant would cost about the same and this is buffet. Would...
