Food Quality Decline: Particularly noticeable in the soups and other dishes. The spicy soup lacks its former flavor, leaving it rather bland. The tomato, however, remains a highlight. The homemade fish paste now carries a strong fishy aroma, which may not be to everyone's taste. The Yuzu ice dessert, unfortunately, has lost some of its zest.
Service Experience: I chose this branch due to its usual lack of queues and lower foot traffic. I typically opt for 2 pm or 3 pm. This time, upon arrival, I was taken aback when the Chinese female receptionist used a very harsh tone to inform me that if I arrived late again, they would cancel my reservation. However, I observed that there were actually not many tables occupied inside. Yes, I was late, and I apologize, but I also understand that there are not many people at this hour, as it's not the peak dine-in time. Please do not use a harsh tone, as I am here to enjoy the food. My mood was affected after being treated in this manner. Last time, I arrived earlier and informed the receptionist that my friend would arrive late, and the male receptionist kindly assured me that it wouldn't be a problem, as the restaurant was not fully occupied.
During our meal, the service for serving the dishes was patient and polite. However, when we started eating, we needed to repeatedly raise our hands to get attention, as there were no waiters around. This included requests for adding soup or refilling tea. There was no one available until we were nearly finished, when Xiao Yan finally came to serve us. Xiao Yan was very soft-spoken and patient. The cashier was also very kind and even shared a joke with us. Both Xiao Yan and the cashier truly deserve five stars.
Atmospheric Alacrity: I've visited this place a few times before. The first time with three people at a small table posed no issue. The second time with five people at a large table also went smoothly. The third time with six people at a large table was problem-free. However, this time, with four people at a small table, I noticed that the table was a bit small, especially for right-handed individuals. It often resulted in unintended contact with the partition, which was somewhat inconvenient.
Conclusion: It's somewhat disheartening to note that both the service and food quality have significantly declined. Perhaps I'll consider trying the Midvalley branch to ascertain if the taste remains consistent. For this visit, however, a rating of two stars is the most accurate reflection of my experience. It's worth noting that the award of five stars is largely attributed to the complimentary gashapon tokens, which seems to have influenced many...

June 2024 review Was seated at the back portion of the restaurant and the service was abysmal. I’m stunned that this is BITP’s service because it seemed like they didn’t take care of the back section. We had to constantly scoop out the scum from the soup by ourselves, poured our additional soup, asked them to take away plates and wiped the table. Our waitress was this petite and short lady that was silent the whole time, did not offer explanation on what were the dishes. She was also not proactively serving until we ask. We had to wait for our soup which took awhile and the lady was constantly rushing her service. She also did a poor job at scooping the scum. There were other staff that came to service our table instead of this waitress and they were great. BITP’s service has dipped if this is the standards in my opinion.
August 2022 review Outstanding service by the crew, they were all very polite and guided us through the ordering process. We ordered the collagen soup and tomato soup. The poultry / meat selection are chicken, beef and pork. They also have seafood options. No unlimited meat and condiments, dine in is limited to 1.5 hours.
The collagen soup has changed a lot since the beginning of BITP chain. It is less rich and less intense but it is not to say a bad thing. It is a cozy broth to have while pairing with dishes. The tomato soup has a slight kick to it and was quite refreshing.
I cannot say there is something outstanding here that would deem a second visit. The meat, vege, beancurd etc is very standard. It would be nice for those who yearn to try but is afraid of long queue in Genting...
Read moreMy daughter celebrated my birthday at this outlet and I was overwhelmed. The settings were so welcoming with the big wordings "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" pasted on the wall. The staff were very polite and I was greeted personally at the entrance and guided to our reserved table. There foods that we ordered were very fresh and the soup bases were fantastic. We ordered two soup bases. One was the beauty collagen soup and the other was the mala hotpot soup. To my surprise, the restaurant presented me with a special birthday gift. Just imagine a free plate of hotpot meat nicely presented. The number of slices of meat corresponeded to my age. And all these slices of meat were for free. At the end of the meal, the staff did a sing along with a birthday song together with their hand signs of expressions of love, wishes and celebration. The sing along and performance were fantastic. This whole experience was memorable and I would like to encourage everyone celebrating their birthdays to patronise this outlet for a different experience. I would also like to convey my appreciations to all the staff who made this occasion memorable. I would also like to convey my special appreciation and thanks to their following staff who have gone all the way to made this occasion more memorable. Their staff were Wei Hao, Zhi Hao, Xiong Lin and most of...
