Kiya’s Restaurant @ Kota Damansara — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Every time I’m around the area, I see this place opens but nobody is dining in, which is usually already a bad sign. But this time I tried to think positive because I wanna try and support small unpopular business.

I had kueyteow goreng seafood, it was a bit too oily for me. Sad and salty… I really have no words for it. It’s edible, but my body doesn’t feel so good after eating, maybe because of the greasiness and the super saltiness. Food arrived quite late too, since they don’t have enough staff.

Teh ais was watery and bland. Sizzling chicken chop was overcooked and the black pepper sauce was just straight up SALT sauce 😢

I didn’t even take any picture of our food because they look too sad. The only reason we still finish our food was because we were so so hungry…I will not come back unfortunately. Thought I could support this business but i’m sorry, maybe not.

My suggestion to them is maybe just stick to a smaller menu that they’re good at and use fresher ingredients. You cannot be a multi-cuisine restaurant, if you only have 1 chef to master every kind of menu. Food preparation...

I can’t believe this place has 4.4 stars lol. My girlfriend and I were basically the only people there but we figured we just give it a shot.

I ordered the Sizzling Chicken Chop and it was burnt. HANGUS! The black pepper sauce that came with it was really salty and oily. My girlfriend’s Kuey Teow was so salty and oily too. The food tasted like it was gonna give me high blood pressure.

The Teh Ais I ordered was like 5% ice. It was still hot that all the ice melted away. Then the waiter came and give a mug of ice cuz he saw my Teh Ais becoming just Teh Tarik lol.

Now I’m feeling burns in my stomach. Praying it’s not food poisoning.

10/10 will never come back...

I ordered a single plate rice. Ohh my God this is the saddest meal I've had. It looks sad and it tastes sad. For the amount of money they are charging, this is daylight robbery.

Don't be so kiam siap la. Give more a bit. Not more rice, but more dish la. You just lost a customer and got a bad review just because you wanted to maximise your profits.

To others considering coming to this place, read the other 1 star reviews. This restaurant seems to have a reputation of giving the least possible to customers while...
