I’ve been coming here since its inception when it used to serve pho-like noodles (after all it's a Thai-Viet fusion diner), and it’s always my go-to whenever I'm around the Kota Damansara area.
The restaurant’s menu is vast, and I’ve only tried a small portion of it. But each time, I’m pleasantly surprised to find new dishes.
I’ve had the Thai Curry Chicken Thigh with Potato, which is generously portioned and flavorful with aromatics. The other main dish The Rough Sea & The Butcher, is an interesting take on "surf and turf" with a combo of pork and fried fish. It lets you enjoy two proteins at once, although I prefer other ways of having pork at this restaurant - I frequently order the Moo Ping, a Thai-styled pork satay that’s very juicy.
For dessert, I enjoy the Red Ruby Coconut Jelly, usually served with small ice cubes. I recommend waiting a bit for the ice to melt to create an even texture as you dig in.
My most recent discovery is the Fried Egg Bomb at RM9.90. It’s quite unassuming but offers a perfect mix of crunch and richness in the egg, almost satisfying my cravings for the famous omelette...
Read moreFood was mediocre and price too expensive for the portion. They give discount for five star google review so dont fall for it. Ordered the pad kra pao (inside menu it states “served with rice”but it came without rice so we asked the waitress and she said it is for lunch only. Pad kra pao is so so only, there are better ones elsewhere, the portion is smaller than it looks in the picture for RM24.90 and no rice. Khao man gai’s pad kra pao is way better in terms of portion, taste and price, rice is included also. We found hair and unknown stuff in food, hygiene is also questionable, we couldnt finish the food as we felt so disgusted. When checking the google reviews, saw someone said they got food poisoning from eating here. The restaurant is hot and lack ventilation, feel heaty after eating due to the spotlights. You would think that there is no way you can f up thai milk tea as they taste the same in every restaurant but we have never tasted a worse thai milk tea than the one we had here. Spent almost RM30 per person eating here. Would...
Read moreWe had our CNY gathering at Em Teerak for a total of 43 pax. Kenny gave us all peace of mind from the moment we booked his place till the end of our dinner. Always ready to offer his help, eager to make it the best CNY gathering for our huge family and always making sure all went well.
Since it was our first time dining at Em Teerak, Kenny tailored the best spread of feast for us. Needless to say the food was amazing. My personal fav were the crispy fried pork belly, single bone chicken wings and thai prawn cakes. Everyone said good words about the food. He even adjusted some dishes to cater to kids, vegetarians and also people who are allergic to seafood. During the dinner he also made sure staff were sufficient and attentive to help.
We knew we made the right choice having our gathering at Em Teerak when everyone had a good time and didn't want to leave the place. We couldn't thank Kenny enough for going above and beyond for our very...
