I recently visited the GSC Play 2 hall with my 2-year-and-6- month-old child. I was genuinely looking forward to a family-friendly movie experience. For those unfamiliar, the Play 2 hall is specifically designed for families with young children, offering an environment where kids can not only watch movies but also engage in play, making the whole experience more interactive and enjoyable for them.

However, my experience turned sour when I encountered a situation that made me feel quite uncomfortable and dissatisfied. As expected, my toddler, being of a younger age, became a bit restless during the movie. As any parent would, I was actively watching over my child, ensuring she wasn’t disturbing others too much and guiding her back to her seat when she started to play.

To my surprise, a parent with older children came over and exhibited a rather extreme attitude. While I understand that parents of older children might expect a quieter experience, this is a space meant specifically for young families. It’s reasonable for children to get restless, especially when they’re still very young, and it’s common for them to need a bit more freedom to move around or play. I was doing my best to keep my child as quiet and respectful of the space as possible, but the interaction with this other parent was not only unhelpful but also quite unpleasant.

This experience highlighted what I believe is a gap in communication and expectations for the Play 2 hall. It’s important for GSC to provide clear guidelines for all patrons—especially those visiting with older children—so that everyone knows what to expect when entering a kid-friendly, more relaxed movie space. If someone is seeking a strictly quiet environment, perhaps they should be directed to a traditional theater instead of a kid-centric venue like Play 2, where a certain level of noise and movement is expected due to the nature of the audience.

As a parent, I expect that environments designed for young children should acknowledge the realities of parenting toddlers and provide a more tolerant and understanding atmosphere. It’s disheartening when other parents don't recognize this and, instead, show a lack of empathy toward those who are simply trying to make the most of a space intended for family entertainment.

In conclusion, I believe GSC needs to take more proactive measures to inform all visitors about the nature of the Play 2 hall. Clear communication about its intended purpose and the expected level of activity would help avoid confusion and ensure that all families can enjoy the experience without feeling judged or unwelcome. I truly hope that GSC can take this feedback into account to improve the experience for families...

Yesterday (25/7) i went to GSC Tropicana garden and this is my full review

Watching MI, Oppenheimer and Barbie all in 1 day since its been awhile i watch any movie, buy your tickets ONLINE it will save you time because the kiosk there has an issue, idk if this happens to me only or many others but it will save you time and money because i paid for my ticket but the receipt never came out but thanks to the workers there for assisting me and my wife and told us that its better to buy everything online and my money will return within 14 Days and also thanks to I believe his name is HALIM? I only saw the trainee but never a good look at his name but he assisted me when buying and saying better using the gsc app and so on, thank you Halim 😊

The onyx hall was quite big but BIG hall was better since the screen is bigger and the sound system was amazing, since barbie has little specialty they use a normal hall compared to MI and Oppenheimer but its okay every location has its own specialty 😉

My advice for everyone reading this, BUY YOUR TICKET AND FOOD ONLINE because the kiosk there has an issue so to avoid this from happening to anyone do buy your stuff in the APP and the workers also explain can collect points to redeem vouchers and free...

For your attention

Two (2) instances of complaint. What's the point of buying food online when we have to queue at the "buying counter" whom everyone did not buy online are buying the food at the physical counters and whereby the food prices are all the same online and physical and because of that we are late for the movie? never had to queue at the counter and then only collect the food at the "hot food area" when asked why, your counter guy showed his bloody black and rude face and just straight up ask us "just scan"

Just a couple days ago, a friend had an injury in the mall. The nearest shop that had ice was GSC asked for just one (1) ONE cup of ice they rejected me and rudely asked me to queue all the way behind (for context, queue was at least 30 people)

Never had any issues before this, enjoyed GSC prior to this, and this is the worst sort of experience to feel within a short...
