Like most of the McDonald's out there, this outlet is nice if you eat-in but sigh... haihzzz... if you were to order a delivery from.
Speaking of its deliveries, since I live nearby and my order (more often than not) always come from this outlet, I want to warn everyone to reconsider ordering from here. If I ordered from here 10 times, they would get my order wrong 9 times out of it. Compared to KFC if I ordered 10 times, they come 9 times correctly and that one time they gave me a wrong order was because they gave me 3 pieces of chicken when I actually just ordered 2.
This outlet would forget a box of nugget, or a burger would go missing, or gives me something else than what I actually ordered. Even if the outlet is obviously too busy to receive more orders, they would just continue to take in even more. So there are times I had to wait for more than an hour to get my order. Sometimes even two. Chili Sauce sachets are apparently a rare luxury here because they only give you 3 packs or so. It is as if they never ate McDonald's before themselves to realise how ridiculous 3 sachets of Chili Sauce are for an order for 3 people.
But on my actual visit to the place things are okay pulak. Amazing, in fact.
The outlet is generally clean (toilets pun okay) and there's always a staff or two who walks around cleaning tables, collecting trays (because some Malaysians still do not understand the concept of self-service). Space aren't ample here and part of the tables are located outside, which expose you to the mercy of the weather. You'll be shielded from the sun still but if it rains, expect the splish and splash of water annoying your experience.
Food quality is as it is in every McDonald's though expect to wait for a bit during peak hours because this outlet can be particularly busy serving Drive-ins and deliveries.
To sum it up - Great for dine-ins Bad for delivery Parking can be annoying unless you park inside Centrepoint BU Limited dine-in space Stingy with Chili...
Read moreUpdate: One year later and their service is still as slow as always. What a pity. Usually dine in or drive thru. Some of the staff are nice, especially one very friendly and bubbly young girl in glasses taking drive thru orders every morning, and a couple of aunties and one pak cik who usually send orders to the cars or to tables when dining in.
However, I must say that the food prep needs some work. Sometimes, the wait is painstakingly long and the kitchen or those who pack the orders are so so so slow. You'd see some chatting behind the counters - no harm in that, we all need a little play when working. But come up with a better process, especially since the Bandar Utama branch has a high customer turnover. There were times when I'd buy just an iced latte and a burger and I'd have to wait close to 10 minutes, when I'm rushing to work. When dining in, there were times when I'd have to wait for half an hour or more. With a hungry child who became 'hangry'. As a fast food chain, living up to standards is important, especially during a time when people have many options.
The queue system is manipulated to meet KPIs, I'm guessing, for dine ins. The queue numbers would be called and passed but your food will still not be ready. Only much later your number will be called manually. Not the best way to ensure customer satisfaction is being met, by providing inaccurate KPI data that looks good just on paper but not in reality.
Anyways, to the only one friendly adik drive thru, aunty, mak cik and pak cik who send food to us so diligently and are so hardworking, keep it up, it's because of you that I...
