While the food here was okay(not the best and not worth the hype), there's always room for improvement. I believe this is not their first day at work. Every staff including the manager should be well prepared for the busy weekend especially at peak hours. When we arrived, the place was already full house and any arriving guests will have to wait for empty seats, but no one informed us that we will have to wait to be seated. The boys at one of the table told us we could have the table because they finished eating,so my family sat first. After several minutes, one of the staff came over to tell us we have to seat somewhere else because there were others to be seated there. This is their first mistake. No proper services that mentioned you to wait to be seated, it's a corner shop place, the manager should have taken the initiative to at least prepare a notice board to alert guest that you will have to wait to be seated and that a staff will assist you shortly,or something along that line. The manager's way of not being prepared for having enough staff on a WEEKEND is not suppose to burden your customers especially since this might be their first time coming to your store, expecting good experience. After having to stand away from the table, we were not actually given a place to wait. There's no proper waiting area. We were made to stand or sit at a corner where we constantly have to give way because the staff keeps using that area. At this point, you have to admit you will start having a bad idea about the attitude and the service given. The ordering system was okay, menu is online, fast ordering can be done but the call out system though, was so bad. Your cashier informed that we can either wait around at the store or wait in our car. Your staff decided to call out my name but with a slow tone. The call out system could be better if all your staff can do is just slowly call out customer's name. If we can't hear our name being called out with that slow tone (actual conversation: I called your name, but you didn't hear me), the mistake is at your end, your customers should not be blamed for your way of calling out to us. Use a ring system, give out a buzzer, shout louder or give the person waiting a phone call,or if you can see them, approach them. The drinks (mind you, it was a float drink) was made before our food was ready and your staff said it was ready for a long time but he called me and said I didn't hear him. He waited the whole time while I was in his view to just let my drinks on the counter unattended. Bad service for the second time all in one day. Your cashier,a lady is the only one nice for the day,and actually providing good service. All smiles, and helped us and other customers out for the flow of ordering. The rest of the team needs training for better service. At this point, the drinks are no longer float, all mixed together and tasted so-so. The food tasted a little bland, could be better and the creamy mashed potato is the only one worth 5 stars, the mix grills are just okay. However, later on that night, i had food poisoning. Could not get to bed, and I'm thinking it's the food from this place since all i had for the day was buns. Overall I have to say, this place can be so much better, but for now I won't be recommending this place to anyone else and probably will not come for a second time. -Bad service -Bad call out system -Had to pay extra charges because online payment?? -Food was bland except for the mashed potato -No proper waiting area -Not worth the hype -Staffs were not friendly except for the cashier -Possible food...
Read moreWhen I came here, it was what i call the downturn of a viral product. A friend of mine suggested this place, he said it is a good fusion food restaurant, the portion is big and it is dead cheap. So I went to check it out.
I arrived at around 8.30pm. Parking space here is quite hard to find since there are a lot of other viral restaurants nearby. Arriving at the restaurant, i noticed the line is building up at the only one ordering counter. The dense tables in and out of the restaurants are mostly occupied.
Half way through lining up, we saw a notice saying book a table with a table number first before ordering. Thank goodness i came with a friend. If i came alone, i am given the option to have take-outs only, since the counter wont take your eat-in order without a booked table number. So my friend went and book the table and text me the number for me to order.
We ordered a big platter, suitable for 2-3 people and root beer floats. It only costs me less then Rm50 in total (which is super cheap). The big platter is served on a piece of big metal plate, and we have to use a cheap plastic plate as personal plates. It was very difficult to eat since the plastic plate is light enough and the grilled lamb is so tough to cut.
The tables are so densely arrange that our chairs are touching other people's chair behind us. Children running around and the place is so chaotic.
Not a very good...
Read moreRestaurant deep inside the Strand area. Overall area is a bit dark and quiet, in terms of lighting at night. However got lots of space around to park.
Surprised to see lots of people eating here. Looked at the menu and I knew why. Grill platters, spaghettis, and burgers were going for around RM10 per plate.
Scanned the QR code at the table to order. Each phone that scanned was presented with an individual bill. We came in a group but ordered separately.
Normally its first in, first out. But our orders were last to order but first to come out.
We each paid online, so make sure to check that the order status is “accepted” in the system. Hence, better to just pay in cash at the counter with physical receipt.
We waited a good more than 20 minutes for our food to arrive. We were concerned that the food would be served cold. Instead, the chicken in the mix grilled chicken was not fully cooked and they replaced with a new grilled chicken. Spaghetti was kinda salty.
On the plus side. The tower honeydew and peach tea were really tall and 3 litres each. Just enough for 8 pax. Manager was helpful...
