With so many branches all over the Klang Valley, it's really quite amazing how Jin Xuan has managed to maintain the same quality, taste and service throughout its entire network.
This outlet is about 1km away from the other outlet at Damansara Jaya.
Housed in 2 shoplots, it's quite a large indoor dining area. During weekends and public holidays, the dining almost doubles up in size as they also occupy the sidewalk as well.
Their menu is not extensively large, and I've not seen any promotions featuring new dishes ever served through the years I've been patronising the outlet. It's been the same menu all this while, and I guess it's the old saying about not breaking anything that's working, that applies here.
The har gow (prawn dumplings), siew mai (pork dumplings), char siew bao and wu kok are all superb here. Also notable are the marmite spare ribs as well. With the exception of the deep fried items, all steamed items are made to order and will take around 10 - 15 minutes before they arrive at your table, piping hot and fresh.
You can't go wrong with Jin Xuan, and if there are reviewers here who complain about the queues or crowds, it's probably because they all went on weekends. Try going for dinner or even an early supper for a change, they all close at...
Read moreThis morning I drove to this dim sum restaurant in uptown to buy some dim sum to pray to my mum as it’s her death anniversary. I was too lazy to cook n so it’s easy n convenient to get all kinds of dim sum as this was her favourite food when she was alive . There was a long queue waiting to dine inside the restaurant! Luckily I was here not to join the queue but to buy the food back. I used to go to their branch in Damansara Jaya. But today I decided to get the food from here instead. I ordered 2 pax of Siew mai, 2 pax of har kow, 2 pax of fried carrot cake,, 2 pax of malai koh, 2 pax of fried prawns n 2pax of fried prawns in bean curd sheet n a pax of char Siew pau. Since the place was packed with diners,I had to wait almost 45 minutes before they got my order packed n ready. They were generous with their packets of chilly sauce n mayoinese sauce. My bill was about slightly more than RM 120. Went back home n arranged everything including6 types of fruits n placed them on a table before the altar for my ancestors. After praying, my family ate the dim sum...

Only 2 tables of customers including us. We ordered quite a lot for 6. We are regular customer to their outlet at Puchong. But due to proximity of location, we decided to try this outler. To our surprise, the quality of service and food are different.
We ordered 5 fried dimsums, 3 plates of shrimp dumplings were all very oily. Which was very different at their Puchong branch which were crispy and not oily for always.
And we ordered 5 xiao long bao, dumplings with soup. The skin was sticky and stick to the small container which makes it hard to eat and easily broken and soup spill out before we can eat. What surprises us is that for 5 sets of xiao long bao, they only gave us 1 big plate of ginger with vinnegar. Normally, the ginger and vinnegar comes separately and served to individual.
After this experience, we will go back to our usual Puchong outlet...
