If you don’t wanna read the long version, here’s a TLDR: Easily one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The experience here trumps over multiple places where i have had to spend 2-3 times the price than I spent here. Amazing food, amazing service, you can feel the passion in every meal. Highly recommended. Here’s the Long version My wife and I were browsing for a BBQ place to have our meal together, and found this place near us. Checked the menu and saw the prices are really reasonable. So we headed out. First impression: Easy parking! Great food joints near subang area are infamous for “leceh cari parking”. So that’s a plus. Then, we went in the restaurant. I was surprised because the photos and videos online didn’t do the atmosphere of the restaurant justice! The place is nice, tables were clean, and it is just very comfortable to dine at, nice lighting. The staff were all dressed well. As soon as we got in, staff were ready to ask us our choice of where we’d wanna sit. Now we get to the food. We ordered the recommended BBQ platter for RM 78. Tthe platter was presented beautifully, 5 different food, with 5 different sauces, all placed next to their respective recommended food to be dipped with. The roasted potatoes with its dip tastes amazing! The bbq chicken with some dijon on it, dipped in the tangy sauce gave a unique taste. But most importantly, the chicken was cooled perfectly! The inside is still moist, but perfectly cooked with a crusty exterior. And then we get to the highlights. We started with the meatballs. And let me tell you this is one of the best meatballs i’ve ever had. Moist on the inside, bursting with flavour, crusty on the outside. It is a recurring theme here, everything is perfectly cooked. The lamb shoulder was also perfectly cooked, expertly seasoned, but most importantly, the chimichurri sauce was really well made. Amazing layers of flavour. And then, my favourite part: the beef tenderloin. I’ve went to a number of steakhouses charging RM 60 up to RM 150 for a 200gm steak, asking for medium rare, and always getting a rougher texture, closer to medium well. This RM 78 platter, with the included 100gm beef, was cooked PERFECTLY. Tender texture, well seasoned, and came with a nice french onion dip. Simply amazing. I’m certain that the beef used here is not as expensive as the beef used by a lot of the steakhouses, but the way the chef masterfully cooked this really brings an amazing taste to it. And then, what was already an amazing, gets elevated even further, when the owner uncle botak himself, chef dan came to us. He stood there, explaining in intricate detail about the food. You can feel his passion pouring out, and it was so refreshing to hear the business owner himself passionately describing his food. He came back and gave us a taste of the herb rice (which was also amazing), as well as gave us something special to elevate the beef tenderloin to amzing levels. He then came back and gave some of the AMAZING smoked duck for us to taste! My goodness this duck, tasted like pure umami. It is an explosion of flavour in your mouth. Definitely ordering this on my next visit. Uncle botak also was great at making us as customers feel welcomed with just the right amount of conversing. A truly humble guy, and it is always nice to dine at a place knowing the owner is a humble, generous, and passionate guy. Which brings me to the final thing. The price. After all this, we were already amazed by the experience we got for the price shown on the menu, when I was about to pay, there was no tax, and no service charges. What you see on the menu is what you pay. This is NOT how most restaurants with this experience is like, we would always have to be ready to add 16% or 18% or sometimes even 20% more. Really reasonably priced for what you get. I haven’t went home feeling this satisfied with a dining experience in a long time. Amazing food, amazing service, all at an amazing price. Kudos to Uncle Botak and his team, definitely my go-to BBQ spot now.

If you believe that food tastes better when it's made with heart, then Uncle Botak BBQ is where you need to be. Tucked away in a corner of PJ off the LDP, this cozy Chef owned and operated BBQ place delivers an experience that’s smoky, saucy and downright satisfying. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of grilled meat wafting through the air, promising that you're in for something good. The setup is casual and unfussy, just the way a BBQ spot should be. Friendly staff, chill vibes and the ever-present sizzle of the grill - it’s the kind of place where you feel right at home. Now let’s talk about the food. The lamb shoulder? Absolutely stellar. Tender, juicy and infused with a deep, smoky richness that speaks of slow-cooked perfection. Each bite melts in your mouth, with just enough bounce to give it that satisfying chew. The smoked duck is another highlight, glazed with a sticky, slightly sweet sauce that clings lovingly to the meat. What really stands out is the balance that Chef Daniel Abdullah achieves: his flavors are bold, but never overwhelming. The spice rubs are well thought out, with a perfect harmony of heat, sweetness and tang. His original sauces and sides are made from scratch inhouse. The creamy buttery mashed potatoes and smoky baked beans are the ideal supporting cast, while the grilled corn with herb butter adds a fresh, zesty contrast. His food is infused with French and Italian influences. Drinks? Both cold and hot are plentiful. Service? Warm, attentive and genuine. It’s clear that this isn’t just food for Daniel and his lovely wife Lilly. It’s a craft, a passion and a family affair. Uncle Botak BBQ may not have white tablecloths, but what it does have is soul. Big, beautiful soul in every bite. Whether you’re a BBQ aficionado or just someone craving a hearty, unpretentious meal, this spot will leave you full, happy, and already planning your next visit. Here’s the best bit – prices are super wallet friendly and there’s plenty of free parking at night. Come hungry and bring friends—it’s a feast meant to be shared. Uncle Botak BBQ brings big flavor and bigger smiles

I came here with no expectations, we came here just because it was near to my parents house and been seeing it every time driving by. Me and my wife are meat lovers, we'd try every place people talk about or recommend and after dining here I'm very glad I dined here. As soon as we entered, we were quickly greeted with warm and friendly welcome by the Chef and his captains, who then took the time to look for a seat for us (7 - restaurant was almost full and we had no reservations - impromptu visit). The Malay guy captain carefully explained the menu to us and gave us suggestions. My kids were fussy eaters, so i had to carefully pick what to order. While waiting for food the friendly chinese lady (lady captain i suppose) came and chatted with us and my kids. Food came quick fast even when the restaurant was full. Everything was superb, the meats were juicy and tender and well marinated. To my surprised my kids love the food here they ate everything and even ask for more, we had to order extra . The mushroom soup was abit disappointing, its kind of blend minimal mushroom taste not enough substance. The other staffs were very quick and helpful when we ask for assistance. After dining here I came home to write a review and read through some negative reviews . Honestly those negative reviews don't do this place justice. Most of them complained about the portion and price, for me the price is very reasonable, you cant get that kind of portion anywhere else, for that price anywhere else would be a lousy piece of meat so tough you can chew it till you reach home. Some said the meat was pre tenderized, of course its pre tenderized, for that price if you don't tenderized the meat you are in a jaw gym, we are not buying wagyu here. Some say the staff here is "weird", the correct word is friendly, they come to you smiling, chat with you and appreciate you dining here. Maybe some people aren't very socialble they prefer to be left alone. Kudos to Uncle Botak and Team you guys were great and I'm glad I found this place , it will be my frequent place now for bbq meat and for my kids to eat without being fussy!!

Kudos to Uncle Botak and Team you guys were great and I'm glad I found this place , it will be my frequent place now for bbq meat and for my kids to eat without...
