A Disappointing Experience at Shellout Putrajaya

I left the restaurant tonight feeling extremely disappointed. I strongly urge the management to seriously reassess the quality and service being delivered — things are clearly not what they used to be.

Ambiance – Was there an issue with the air-conditioning? The place felt warm and stuffy throughout our meal, making the dining experience uncomfortable.

Service – I’m not expecting the “customer is always right” treatment, but basic courtesy and professionalism go a long way. The waiter’s dismissive attitude was off-putting, and frankly, it’s no surprise the restaurant wasn’t very busy.

Food Quality – The food was overwhelmingly salty, and the shrimp was overcooked — a real letdown from a place that prides itself on seafood.

I paid around RM250++ tonight and walked away feeling overcharged for what was a thoroughly underwhelming experience. 😢

A group of us order set Langkawi RM 250. End up, we get the worse ‘she’ll out’ dining experience ever.

Poor service. We wait for almost 1 and half hour for the food the be served. Even our drink have to wait for 1 hour.

Seafood quality is the worse. The clamp is not cleaned properly. When we open the clamp, most of the clamp is full of mud. Crab is not fresh.

When we ask regarding the clamp and crab, the owner gives us the most ridiculous excuses. For example:

Me: the crab is not fresh. Why? Owner: because the it was frozen crab. If fresh crab is RM 40/kg. With the prize we offer, we can only offer frozen one.

Ridiculous. Where is your quality control?

Me: why the clamp is full of mud? Owner: sebab clamp jatuh bila kita masak.

Moreover, not even a word of ‘sorry’. The owner even go out avoiding us when she knows regarding our dissatisfaction.

I wish I could give 0 star. Think twice before u think. Please don’t...

Dropped by Shell Out® Putrajaya for a seafood feast and went straight for the Ocean’s Delight Set 2.

🦀 The set came loaded with fresh and juicy crabs, prawns, clams, and even broccoli, corn, and potatoes, all drenched in their signature spicy Cajun-style sauce. Every bite had that rich, buttery heat that seafood lovers dream of. The sauce clings perfectly to the shellfish and sides.

🍚 Paired it with plain white rice which balanced out the bold, spicy flavour of the seafood perfectly.

✨ Service was quick and friendly, and the staff were happy to offer glove refills and water without needing to ask. The ambience is relaxed and casual - great for friends, family, or special seafood nights.
