Used to be a regular in Omma’s, after a long hiatus, decided to visit to give it a try… but it was a huge disappointment.
Ordered egg and salmon sandwich, portion inside the sandwich was measly and borderline cheating. Portion is sad and small!
1 thin slice of cured salmon spread across the bread and not even covering the space of the bread, measly amount of scrambled eggs, 2 slices of tomato and some thin cucumber slices, I added cheese but obviously tasted low quality slice cheddar cheese being used. Unfortunately forgot to take the whole picture of the sandwich in and out, didn’t expect to be cheated this way.
Paid RM23.50 for this sad sandwich, overpriced and undervalue. Not coming back. Besides, sourdough bread tasted nothing like sourdough, plain sticky dough in texture with no sour taste.
Please, is this how Kota Kinabalu’s F&B operators treat their customers? Seems like everywhere we go in KK is a...
Read moreHired a Grab to take us out of our way to this place and it was definitely worth it. The area is a lot nicer and cleaner than the touristy parts of KK.
The scones are airy and light, like little cloud puffs. The egg & smoked salmon focaccia sandwich was quite nice as well. Nothing is mind blowing but just really nice to enjoy western food while away from home.
Picked up a coconut santan roll (still warm) and a cinnamon brown sugar roll for take away. If it’s anything like the freshness of the scone and the focaccia then this will be an enjoyable snack in a couple of hours.
Hot tea and lemonade was very nice.
Paid about MYR 50 and definitely worth it. A solid 4.5-star place.
Huge con: no gluten-free options. We found this place because we were looking for a place serving glutenous and GF options and this place was returned as a hit. But I have verified this and it...
Read moreI entered the cafe at it's opening hour, hoping to relax and have breakfast. The tables and atmosphere wasn't very inviting, probably also because it's quiet at this time.
The coffee is reasonably priced, most of the brewed ones are about RM11 only and they have non-dairy options. I only got the tuna olive focaccia for takeaway and it was tasty and very filling. They also provide beetroot pickles for the side, wish it was more cus the tanginess goes well with the tuna! I think it's the only cafe in KK with focaccia? All in all I only spent RM11 for a good breakfast :)
The person there told me the sourdough bread is normally only available around 10 to 10.30am onwards. Theyre also selling a vegan spread of avocado oil and almond butter for rm15 only. Definitely gonna get...
