Great tomato koay teow, decent kopi. Came to this place with some locals and had the tomato koay teow with an egg from their recommendation. The concept is a bit strange for the uninitiated, tomato sauce with char koay teow sounds weird, but they make a sort of sour-ish soup that compliments the koay teow very well. Come here for the tomato koay teow, it's great.

A kopitiam with great chewy & springy kolomee, also has all other sorts of dishes eg. fried tomato noodles, manicai beehoon etc… I also love their simple kopi O & Teh C drinks, parking can be quite full in the morning but usually a little patience will secure you a parking lot!

A well known place for its delicious kolo mee. I may say its one of the 'hidden' kolo mee in Kuching. That's why it is delicious! The taste is so different than other types of kolo mee stalls, that's one of the unique part. Love the 'wantan'.

Lian June Cafe is one of my favorite hunt to go to in Kuching for my quest to find the elusive Tomato Ketchup noodles because the restaurant is not so crowded (when I go there that is) Yes I kid you not, because I studied in Unimas (way way back in 1994-1997), I fell in love with the Tomato Ketchup noodles but alas in KL it seems that nobody even heard of this! Outrageous right? Only very few and I mean very very few stalls in KL came close to emulating the Kuching version of this meal. Strange indeed, maybe they should rename it to Kuching Tomato Ketchup noodle instead. Pros - an okay version of the meal, could add a bit more sourness and thickness to the ketchup gravy. Cons - location quite hidden and first timers have to navigate through myriads of shops before you can find the cafe. Actually if you know where the t is less than 10 minutes walk from...
