McDonald's Sibu — Restaurant in Sarawak

I don't know why I'm writing a review for McD, but I feel that there's a love hate relationship with this specific branch because IT'S THE ONLY ONE IN SIBU.

I don't really have to really say much about the food that you don't already know but at the same time I sometimes crave for a mcd burger I also hate the way it makes me feel afterwards- like I've cheated myself with the fact that I could eat cleaner. Much, much cleaner.

Not to mention that I've positively gotten food poisoning here once before but my continuous dedication to this particular fast food is genuinely concerning.

But regardless, thank you Sibu mcd for years of happy memories with my family, bad memories of often incorrect orders and food poisoning and monopoly but you're a part of everyone's lives anyway.

And I hope you guys do consider a drive thru.

Edit: I'm here again at midnight, and the fries are cold...

My delivery order was done sent at 10.58pm on 3/2/2024 within full payment by credit card. Then i wait until 12.18am on 4/2/2024 receive the calling from rider that my order not available already because the kitchen already closed. And when i asking why no people call us early? The rider answer that all McDonald's staff including supervisor scare we will scold them so they just let us waiting and waiting again. I'm very angry because it really wast my time and my kids also wait until midnight while still can't eat any food and go to sleep. And no staff was responsible to explain the mistake. And how about my payment refund? This is your McDonald's mistake and really not responsible for customers, how can just ask the rider to call us?? Please head office can give me a response because i really so disappointed for...

Food is of course nice bcos its the only mcd in sibu lol.

Service also quite nice if we think about how many cust they should serve. Almost every day this place swamped by people. So it make sense why sometimes the order take too long to order. But got sometimes they fast serving the order. It really depends on ur luck. I got both good and bad experience about the serving time but it still bearable. Fortunately, i never have a bad experience with the staff. They always so polite.

About the place itself, i ALWAYS got an ick at the stairs. The stairs smells uh... interesting? It smells really weird. And of course its not a pleasant smell for a restaurant. I hope the management can take note on this. Bcos this smell has been there since forever. Im not sure if other cust ady complain abt this but...
