I recently had the pleasure of dining at 'Porkie's By Flavours' in Kuching, Sarawak, and I must say it was a delightful experience.

First time here.. Service was terrible.

There were 6 of us, but there were only 2 menu. Then the guy stood beside our table to wait for our order. Asked us “ready to order?” When obviously the other 2 friends just sat down. My friend asked if he could come back in 5-10 minutes and asked if they could give us more menu? The guy didn’t acknowledge, he just walked off with an annoyed expression, then he just threw TWO more menu on the other table (which ppl were already reading the menu) and walked away. It wasn’t not difficult to pass the menu but isn’t it common sense to pass the menu to whoever did not have the menu? And 6 of us, sharing 4 menus?

Later then a Chinese lady came to take our order. We told her about the incident when she asked how was things and are we ready to place order. Apparently she wasn’t too happy that we gave her such feedback and walked off. Not sure if she only wanted to hear compliments?

Then later.. we felt unfairly treated, they purposely ignored our table whenever we waved at any of them for more order. my friend even went to the bar to ask for ice water personally.

Food wise, really need to work very hard on the platter. Pork rib was hard, roasted pork was too salty and not crispy, trotter was with over-used oil smell and it was like under fried?

6 of us Spent around RM490.. not cheap, but with this kind of food and service, not worth the spend.

We dined at Porkie's at Jalan Song Kuching for many times and the last one on 29 July 2019 was terrible. We were family with two small kids. First, there was a table that was vaping (in door), the manager said Sarawak Government has not enforced the law for vaping so they cant do anything about it. But the restaurant itself has the policy not allowed customers to smoke & vaping??!! I was told the table was regular and they were drunk. Then the boss rang up and asked the manager to take me to talk to the that table??!! My restaurant i need to do the work??? I guess we just have to put up with it. But, we ordered mineral water, it didnt come, so we told another waiter again, it didnt come again, then we told the first waitress that we need drinking water....until we finished our dinner the water still not come. I told the manager when I paid the bill about the problem, he said he scored the staff, express sorry. I told him that, this is the last time I come to dine here.
