Tuk Tuk Thai Boat Noodle, Plaza Merdeka — Restaurant in Sarawak

I had a satisfying meal at Tuk Tuk Thai Boat Noodle in Plaza Merdeka recently. This time, I ordered Set A – Steamed Fish Tomyam along with their Crunchy Thai Popeyes Tempura, and it definitely hit the spot.

The Steamed Fish Tomyam was aromatic and packed with bold, spicy-sour flavors. The fish was fresh, tender, and soaked up the tomyam broth beautifully. It came with rice, making it a hearty and comforting meal.

The Crunchy Thai Popeyes Tempura was a pleasant surprise—crispy, well-seasoned, and perfect as a side snack or to share. It added a nice texture contrast to the meal.

We went out for dinner last nite but was very disappointed. Not dissapointed with the food…the food were nice and tasty but on the cleanliness. 1 of the table was still dirty and smelly. Not only 1 table but all the tables have a bad smell to them, although they may look clean. Mayb they have not been properly cleaned. And then the utensils-spoon, fork were still oily although they were soak in hot water. Please do improve on the hygiene part of yr restaurant. I saw you have enough staff to clean the tables properly. I hope yr kitchen area is not as dirty as the customer dining area. Absolutely loved the Kra Paw Chicken Rice at Tuk Tuk Thai Boat Noodle Restaurant! The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced, with the right amount of spice to give it a kick. The chicken was tender, and the fresh basil added an amazing aroma. The portion size was generous and great value for the price.
