Decided to drop in randomly with my daughter for an early lunch. First impression stepping in, the place looks nice and fancy but in an accessible kind of way. Sort of casual fine dining feels. Feeling good about the choice to eat here, was excited to dine in. I really wanted to like this place cuz what a joy it would be to have proper steak in Cyber! Alas, no smiles from any of the servers at any point of the meal. Ours mumbled the instructions about chosing our meat and ordering drinks and wasn't too happy when I asked her to repeat the instructions. This totally contradicts other reviews praising the service but we had 4 people interact with us end to end and all of them were rushy and robotic. The place was less than half full and they seemed to have more than enough staff to handle the lunch rush.
Food was decent. Kiddo and I both ordered medium, it was slightly over done but taste and cut quality is good. Mash was sweet. Veggies were tender not over cooked which was a pleasant surprise. We ordered nuggets based on the menu description and photo which said "our nuggets are made..." which implies they made it in house. What came was the usual processed nuggets. The apple juice was way too sweet for either of us to finish and served in a plastic cup which automatically brought down the whole vibe of the place. No smiles or thank you for coming as we paid the hefty 3++ bill for one adult and one 9yo.
In my opinion, the food missteps are very minor and the steak quality is there so kudos to the kitchen staff. Ambience is also nice. However, for the price, the front of house severely let down the whole team. Not expecting red carpet treatment but a little warmth and hospitality goes a very long way in getting people to come back. The plastic cup really didn't...
Read moreI've been here several times before, and it was great—except for my recent visit on January 29th, 2025. They moved to a new location with a better environment, but the staff seems to be lacking in order management.
The steak doneness was okay. I ordered three Angus steaks (medium), and they were cooked perfectly. As for the lamb, I requested medium-well, but it was slightly undercooked.
We were starving, so I ordered cheese nachos as a starter, hoping to have something light to quickly alas perut while waiting for the steaks. Unfortunately, the starter arrived pretty late—we even received the steaks before the nachos, making it rather pointless.
Overall, the taste was good, but that’s to be expected since they use premium cuts of meat.
The old location near Petronas offered free-flow drinks, but the new one doesn’t. At the old place, a staff member would immediately come to take your order. However, at the new location, after I finished selecting the meat, I noticed all the staff were at the counter. Thinking I had to order there, I went to the counter, where a lady—while eating cake—asked one of the guys, who seemed confused, to take our order.
It seems like Kars has changed their entire staff, and I feel they need proper training. Hope it gets better...

I’ve been enjoying steaks at Kars since 2021. In 2024, we had an unpleasant experience and decided to explore other steakhouses. But in 2025, hearing that Kars had moved to a new location, we decided to give them another try — and thank God we did!
The steak was exactly as I remembered from the earlier days: rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. The new outlet is spacious, beautifully decorated, and offers an expanded selection of meats to choose from. I arrived around 9.30pm, and despite the restaurant being full, we managed to get a seat.
For the meal, we ordered: • Steak (Medium) – Cooked perfectly, tender and juicy, just as we requested. • Creamy Tomyam Pasta – A flavorful fusion, with a generous portion of huge prawns that really stood out. • Mushroom Soup & Garlic Bread – The mushroom soup wasn’t quite to my taste, but the garlic bread was a winner — bold, intense garlic flavor that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall, I’m glad we came back to Kars. The quality, taste, and atmosphere brought back the exact reasons why I loved this place in the first place. Definitely worth a revisit if you’ve missed...
