Read moreI arrived early for lunch at Sushi Zanmai and the place was empty. But soon after, people strolled in for lunch and the place was packed. All orders are placed via a QR code on the e-menu. The QR code is given by the waiter to be scanned on smart phones. The physical menu book is also given to guests. I addition, the menu is also available online once the QR code is scanned/ activated on the smart phones. I ordered the black pepper spider rolls, costing RM18.68 per plate. I concocted a paste of soy sauce and chilli flakes (available at the table), and dipped the rolls in for a spicy taste. The spider, which is a soft shell crab, is crunchy and tasty, while the white sauce on top of it, is sweet and creamy. Adding on the hot sauce gave it a tangy, great taste. On another roll, I put on a little wasabi on it and, boy, it was pungent and tangy to the taste. My son ordered the Chicken Katsudon at RM12.08 and both of us had Green tea for drinks. I believe that Japanese food is an acquired taste food and some people really indulge in it. And for me, I do enjoy some cooked Japanese-style dishes. The restaurant looks clean and chic, and the ambiance, relax. There are some seating area facing the moving tracks of the food, and that guests can sit alone and have a nice meal here. Parking is available at the parking area in the D'Pulze...
Read moreToday evening was with good food with bad experience đđ˘đĽş We had been craving to have japanese food for such a long time during this MCO....take away/ delivery doesn't even come close to the experience of seeing the sushi train going by ur side....Perhaps we were the last entry to the restaurant where the manager readily accepted us at 9.05 pm (we asked twice before going in, if the dine-in is open) and cordially conveyed that we can have food even if the kitchen closes. But it was 9.12 pm when we paid and he announced that the restaurant closes by 9.30 pm so we need to take away our food....WOW...Is this how a restaurant manager is supposed to set up a good evening expectation?....We leave the judgement upon u all...NO DOUBT, this is the best japanese restaurant in the vicinity but they need to seriously LEARN customer friendly behaviour...Govt. policies can't be held responsible for this bad management....Closing time apart but our on-spot feedback doesn't even move a muscle on the manager's face, apologies need a visual as well...BTW this was our 6th visit in last 2 years and 1st post the MCO..... #sushizenmai #postmcomalaysia
1star is only for the manager's behaviour, no complaints on the...
