Heads up, prolly a long review bcs i rarely wrote one.
Been to multiple cafe since i was studying at melb and now back in here, this prolly the worst experience i had in general.
Went there at 8pm with empty crowd inside the cafe, decide to seat at 4 seater and the waiter ‘kindly’ ask us to move at 2 seater? I mean, the place was empty, right?
And talking to them aint a pleasure either, lack of smile, no welcoming gesture, just a person who ready to punch out their card and get the day done.
Dont even let me talk about the food. The chicken chop. Who the f serve it with stirred vege, what do u guys even think when making the menu. And mind u its not even close to nice/savory. The blackpepper gravy was abit on watery side, lack of flavor. The chicken chop itself, bread crumb? I know its normal out there but for that price point just put some effort on proper batter. Ive been eating chicken chop since i was 4 and i think my opinion is valid here.
On top all of those stuff i mention, no plain water serve? Only mineral. If someone choked and dont have money they might die on the spot, since ‘im sorry, we dont have plain water here’.
Step up your game if u want your business to stay. The deco itself wont hold...
Read moreI had the butter chicken rice, and it was truly a delightful experience. The chicken was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside—but what really stole the show was the butter sauce. It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with a subtle hint of sweetness and herbs that elevated the dish to another level. The sauce coated the rice beautifully, making every bite indulgent and satisfying. It’s comfort food done right.
For the second dish, I went for the chicken chop with black pepper gravy. The chicken was juicy and grilled to perfection with a slight char that added a lovely smokiness. The black pepper gravy was bold and peppery without being overpowering—it had just the right amount of heat to complement the meat, and the consistency was smooth and well-balanced.
What truly completed the experience was the ambiance. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, with a modern and classy interior that gave it a posh yet welcoming vibe. It felt like dining in a high-end place, but without the high-end price tag. The pricing was reasonable and worth every ringgit for the quality of food and setting provided.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience—I’ll definitely return to try more...

And what a major letdown for us, as Daniel had spoken glowingly about this cafe. In the end, he himself was frustrated, as his own Lamb Stew was late, and didnt measure up to his high expectations..
I was told much earlier that Daniel wanted to try this cafe. "It was a cafe as well as an interior design showroom, Dad..", that was how he described it. Well, truth be told, maybe most customers were more smitten by the decors compared to the foods...
I only ordered the Fried Koey Teow, which is such a basic dish that most chef would know how to prepare easily. But mine was so terrible, I labored to eat it, and eventually just failed to finish it. My wife had the Buttermilk Chicken with rice, which was nothing fancy either. And he ended up offering it to Daniel and me!!!
Daniel was the most disappointed, but he tried to act cool and calculated. At the end of our dinner, he finally confessed that it was really "indah kabar dari rupa..."
Talk about indah, the atrocious smell outside this cafe really stung to high heaven, not unlike its cousin, the...
