MIOS & CO (Formerly known as The Mios Coffee) — Restaurant in Shah Alam

This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I was excited to try it out. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. There are a lot of choices, making it easy to find something appealing.

The food presentation was good, with dishes served in an appetizing manner. However, I felt that the taste did not quite match the visual appeal, and there is definitely room for improvement in terms of flavor and seasoning.

The prices are on the higher side compared to similar restaurants, which may not fully align with the quality and taste of the food at the moment. It might be beneficial for the restaurant to consider adjusting the pricing or enhancing the food quality to meet the expectations set by the price point.

Regarding the staff, most team members are quite young. While their energy is appreciated, there are noticeable areas for improvement in grooming, body language, and customer interaction. Investing in staff training, particularly in customer service and professionalism, could significantly enhance the overall dining experience. A little more guidance and control can help the young team deliver a more polished and welcoming service.

Overall, the restaurant has potential, but there are some areas that need attention to truly elevate the experience. With a bit more focus on taste, pricing, and staff training, this place could become a go-to...

Went on the weekend, quite ramai. Overall ok for me. The good points are :

1. Makanan sedapppp. Ordered mac and cheese and also chicken chop. Both were very very nice. Sedap. Ordered lemon curd cake alsoo sedappp
2. aircond sejuk
3. ada tandas and prayer room
4. parking quite easy sebab banyak parking, cuma dekat atau jauh sikit je

Lacking for me, in my opinion:

1. The drinks were a bit disappointing. Ordered strawberry tea and butterscotch latte. I was hoping they use home made strawberry purée for the strawberry tea but it seems like they used cordial bc it had that taste and smell of strawberry cordial. And the butterscotch latte was tooo sweet. I like my coffee to be sweet but it was too sweet.

2. The indoor area is a bit small and too noisy. There were so many noises at once that it become hard to even hear the person in front of you talk. You need to raise your voice abit. Everyone in the cafe was talking loudly. And the cafe was blasting songs in high volume. Not to mention, the bar (to make drink) is an open concept so there was coffee grinder noise, the water running in sink noise and the clinking of the glasses noise. has option for outdoor but in malaysia weather, would prefer air conditioned area 😔

That was my opinion, i would go again but probably not on weekend when there are many people and to choose different kind of drinks. The foods...

Overly expensive food but not up to the price standards.

Ordered their Carbonara Spaghetti and can tell that they are using cheap ingredients (can kinda tell they mixed their carbonara sauce together with milk to make it ticker because can only taste the cheap milk they are using).

Also so funny how i wanted to order for ice water but only have expensive mineral water for option (maybe to make their shop looks more expensive / “atas”) but when i ordered for warm water with ice is available…. hmm ok makes me chuckle a bit.

Waiter / staff attitude can also be improved as well. Don’t know if they’re just tired or overworked but also since they choose for this job and isn’t it a basic manners of working in front desk to greet your customer or at least smile?

Also after ordering i realized that they put on live from their social media account showing their customer faces…? Is it basic rules that you supposed to ask for anyone consent first before posting their faces publicly…? Idk what’s the reason behind putting on live video it but i surely know that it’s wrong to post your customer faces without their consent.

After eating I question my why i chose to eat here and also what a prefect example you cant trust google review at kedai kampung like this. 👎🏻👎🏻

Overall, kedai kampung, food taste meh, won’t come again and won’t recommend this...
