The food is mixed between Indian, Pakistani and Arabic. Eve though its Pakistani restaurant, I find some Indians more closely. Regardless, we really enjoyed the Tandoori chicken, paired Pakistani tomatoes and green chili, onions based sauteed chicken karai, beef biryani along with plain naan, sesame naan(kulcha), chapati. The Tandoori chicken is just good as expected, importantly to my liking it's not salty here which I often end up seeing lots of saltier tabdoori due to the overly salt added marinated marsala sauce. The chicken karai is a little oily side, but it's just ok paired with chapati and naan. The chapati could be better with more atta flour like whole meal, but here it's just white floury doughish. So not that light in the texture! The naan is ok, but the best part is the sesame topped naan, called kulcha. So savory and nutty! We ordered the naan without any cheap butter, oil or planta brushed! Just plain ones, so that we can savor the naan at best. I think I could eat 5 of those black sesame topped naans alone.😋👍 The mint sauce with tandoori and greenish daal along with the naan are nice and very delicious for dipping until we dropped.
A few verdict of the food is that nothing wrong to others who have never tried this food. Basically the channa masala isn't the one we always have in other places which is more of boiled channa(aka kacang kuda) in masala spices. That should be dried cook chickpeas dish in red-ish masala flavored, unlike yellow dal tadika, which they tried us to believe its channa masala, to me it consists of only tiny bit of mashed chickpeas 10% and daal(lentil) 90%. I guess they just gave us the lentil gravy with a bit of mashed chickpeas. Anyway, we cancelled the channa masala and they kindly accepted our request. 👍 The staff is very attentive and friendly, that's the best of best !
One good dish to try here is the beef biryani, which is surprisingly yummy! We polished off the plate between 3 of us, almost fighting to get more biryani rice.
Oh, last, not least, the masala tea they strongly recommended to me to try is definitely not recommended sadly it has no spices flavor(cardamom, cinnamon, anise etc) it. Its plain boring, just milk tea for rm 4.5 that's not worthy it! To be honest, it's the least spices infused masala tea I have ever tasted! 😥
The overall price isn't that cheap after all. We paid around rm 77 for all that. We might go again to try some kebabs...
Read moreGreat hidden spot for Pakistani food which is quite hard to find in Shah Alam. The taste is authentically Pakistani which in essence might be a little bland for the local palate. I've ordered the lamb Briyani plus some chicken Karahi. The Briyani is a Pakistani Briyani thus it is less flavored compared to the normal Briyani we get locally. But it is still very good, the rice was moist and fragrant but the lamb was quite bland albeit very tender. We were recommended the chicken Karahi since we want something with more flavor and it actually packs a good amount of flavor with a little spiciness. The briyani portion was quite small yet the Karahi portion was enormous even for the half portion so we ordered a Shah Jahan Naan and a garlic Naan to eat with the Karahi. The Shah Jahan Naan was good but is just okay. The garlic Naan whoever is a perfect pair with the the chicken Karahi so that is highly recommended. The service was fast and the servers attentive. The pricing is a bit high but expected for authentic...
Read moreIf you're on the hunt for the cheesiest, most flavorful cheese naan that's worth every penny, this place is a must-visit. Known for its perfectly baked naan stuffed with generous amounts of gooey cheese, it's a delight for any cheese lover. The garlic cheese naan stands out as a fan favorite—bursting with bold, garlicky flavor and a rich, creamy cheese filling that melts in your mouth.
The staff here are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a warm and welcoming dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, they make you feel right at home. To explore the variety, we decided to try a couple of different naan flavors, each uniquely delicious and expertly crafted. However, the garlic cheese naan stole the spotlight with its perfect balance of crisp edges, soft texture, and cheesy goodness.
Overall, this place combines excellent service with outstanding quality, making it a top recommendation for naan enthusiasts. Don't miss out on this...
