I had the pleasure of dining at Orang-orang Hainanese Kopitiam, and it was an absolute treat. Their signature dishes are an absolute must-try! The Egg Mee Siam was a standout—perfectly balanced with a zesty, flavorful sauce that hits all the right notes. The noodles were tender and well-seasoned, making it a delightful dish from start to finish. The Monkey Head Mushroom Head Curry (Vegetarian) was another highlight. The mushroom had such a unique texture, and the curry was rich and aromatic, with just the right amount of spice. It’s a great option for vegetarians and anyone looking for a fresh twist on traditional curry. Lastly, the Nasi Lemak with Big Fried Chicken Drumstick was amazing. The chicken drumstick was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired so well with the fragrant coconut rice, sambal, and sides. It’s comfort food at its best! To complement the meal, I had their specially brewed Hainanese Kopi O—rich, smooth, and full of deep coffee flavor. It was the perfect finish to a satisfying meal! The environment was warm and welcoming, with a nice, oriental vibe that added to the overall dining experience. The interior décor was simple yet charming, offering a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. As for the cost, I found it very reasonable for the quality of the food and the generous portions. It’s a great spot for an affordable yet satisfying meal. Overall, the flavors were bold and comforting, and the service was friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes! Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious, hearty meals with a...
Read moreFirst time visit after the kopitiam operate about 6 months ago. Yup like everyone else saying the environment and the vibe is really good. We dine in on weekend lunch hour and we ordered hainanese chicken chop rice, nasi lemak, kaya butter toast and drinks. At the beginning everything was ok, the toast is nice, the nasi lemak is OK, and they forgot our last meal which is the hainanese chicken chop rice. So we asked one of the waiter to help check our meal. He then took our order paper to someone else and never come back?! I thought suppose they will come back and inform me “the kitchen is cooking” or “ x minute lagi” but no. Nothing comes back. We wait for few minutes and press the bell and asked again. The other waiter come and ask what we want, I said you took our order paper and my food still wasn’t here. Again he went to kitchen counter and the guy I assume is branch manager since he wear black colour shirt (different colour with the rest of the waiter) said 5 more min to the waiter and the waiter just pass the message to me. Why I know? Coz we are sitting just in front of the kitchen counter. Finally the meal came, alright the fried rice is just cook, fried chicken chop can be better, lots of room to improve. Overall the taste is OK. Like some of the reviewers said nothing like hainanese style. It is just like a normal meal to me. All in all, I read more people complement on environment than food. As a F&B owner I pretty sure you know what to do next to make your kopitiam a better place for people to truly...

Orang Orang Kopitiam never disappoints, and their new menu makes it even better! I recently tried their newly added Goreng Pisang and Cemledak Goreng, and both were absolutely amazing. The goreng pisang is perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and naturally sweet on the inside — easily one of the best I’ve had! The cempedak goreng, on the other hand, has a truly unique taste that sets it apart from anything you’d find elsewhere — rich, fragrant, and perfectly fried.
On top of that, their variety of Nyonya kuih is impressive. Every piece is fresh, colourful, and full looks of authentic.
If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, nostalgic flavours, and a cosy atmosphere, Orang Orang Kopitiam is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
