Restoran A.Hassan Ayam Kampung (Shah Alam) — Restaurant in Shah Alam

No complaints about the food but service could be further improved. Not sure if Mr A Hassan is a victim of his own success. With at least half a dozen other branches spread around Sunway, cheras and Shah Alam to name but a few, he needs to appoint/implement a more systematic way of managing/running a food business. This one here is way too chaotic to say the least. There are waiters going around taking orders for drinks, waiters making/issuing bills, workers clearing tables for new customers to sit, the cashier making bills for takeaways and not to mention the beggar making rounds from table to table. Absolute pandemonium! It's clear he/the restaurant has established its name over the years but you don't want to come to a restaurant at 12pm finding there's no seats and then having to wait in a queue to pay the bill. If you come at 1pm, the shop will probably say they're done for the day😲Surely a system needs to be in place! Happy to see the restaurant always crowded but a next visit will probably be in a couple...

The restaurant's name says it all. Do come here to get the chicken, it's crispy and served hot. Other dishes are okay, i tried as well fried fish, it was okay as compared to the hot crispy chicken. Patin masak tempoyak was also served here, looks good but I didn't try yet. The sambal tempoyak is quite too sour for my liking to be used as raw sambal, maybe because they use the same sambal as they use in patin masak tempoyak.

The restaurant do get a little bit crowded at lunch hour. Cleanliness can be improved.

Been here thrice and would definitely come again. I'm a picky eater but nasi berlauk has always been my favourite, and this is the place to get my craving for kampung food satisfied. They offer both good taste and affordability. It is advisable to come before 12 noon so you have many dish choice to choose from since they're always packed with customers. But they always stock up their ayam kampung so no worries. A plate of ayam kampung and rice would cost you below rm10, where else would you...
