I don't really know what's so special about this shop. They serve the most rubbery char Siew or pork ever. Each time you buy from the shop, they consistently serve you pork parts which are the most challenging to bite/crunch. No matter how hard you try to grind it with your teeth, it will never be able win & will soon end up just swallowing the piece of rubbery pork without fully chewing it.
It's as good as eating a piece of rubber tyre.
I wonder how elderly folks are able to eat such meat without destroying their dentures or choke on it.
Having cooked for so many years without making an effort to improve the way they prepare & cook the meat to ensure that it's tender enough & tasty enough to eat shows that they do not have a heart to ensure customer satisfaction. Really disappointed. Hope they'll make more effort to try tenderize their meat & improve on the taste to bring it up to par like other shops.
Treat this as a constructive suggestion to improve your food. We also hope to see your biz flourish.
Hope to be able to give you a favourable review on my next visit.
Look forward to see some improvement soon... Make your meat...

(Probably many didn't notice Uncle Yap existence, as it's located not near main road) Overall taste is decent, not much better than other similar stalls in food courts nearby. RM9 for what shown in photo, I feel not worthy. Poor presentation of food, poor serving attitude of staff, during a non peak hour. Worst part is the texture of all 3 kind of meats: chicken doesn't seem fresh; CharSiew not fragrant, not juicy; SiewYok not crispy, not fragrant also. However, their rice & soup are good, fragrant. I wish I had more of their rice. I should have trusted my mother in law telling me don't be fooled by the crowd going there during lunch time, they just don't know they can get better...
Read moreThe chicken rice in this restaurant is fantastic, paired with their spicy chilli to go along. Come here for the chicken rice however do not expect a cozy dining.
This restaurant is very busy during lunch and if you are planning to take away, be prepared to queue between 20-30 min on average during peak hours.
The chilli here is their signature, do not be deceived, it is very spicy.
Definitely one of the better chicken rice served around.
Would have been a 5 star if the restaurant would have invested in a refresh of the...
