Daddy & Co @ SS15 — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

This is my one only visit to this place, so take my review with a grain of salt. It could be a one-off incident due to availability of chef or what, but as a paying customer we are totally not happy with the service that we received.

First of all, we called and made a reservation for 7. They said okay and confirmed our reservation. Only upon arrival we were informed that we had to sit on 2 separate tables, despite all being from the same household. I understood it could be a restriction due to Covid19 SOP, but why we were not informed earlier when making reservation? The lighting on the outdoor sitting was terrible too. Ambient light is acceptable, but if you need to turn on mobile light to read the menu?

Secondly when it comes to ordering food, non of the chef's favourite was available. Each item we were trying to order, the waiter said not available. Finally we had to ask the waiter to tell us instead what is available for us to order. It should be a simple logic for you to inform the customer upfront which items are not available, especially when half your menu is not available. If you plan to make a walk in to this place, maybe you want to ask them first what are the menu available.

Thirdly on the food. We ordered frozen mug beer, but it seems like a normal mug beer. We ordered a chicken pizza, spaghetti, 2 grilled chicken, crispy mushroom fry, and sausage anchovies. Pizza and Aglio Olio was okay, crispy mushroom and sausage anchovies is very delicious. But how a person can screw so badly on grilled chicken is beyond me. It smells so raw, the meat tasted sour, and at 1 point I felt it tasted very weird, I turned on my mobile light and saw the chicken was so freaking raw!!!! The other chicken was not raw but it tasted sour and awful smell too.

That is our breaking point as we decided to never step foot into this restaurant again.

Just to add on, despite all the negatives, there is a good mention and it is the staff and waiter. First of, they tried to accommodate us on a table nearby to each other as per our request. They even offered to seat us indoor but we have to split into 4, so we declined. Finally when one of us was not well and needed Panadol, the staff went to nearby shop and bought Panadol for us. So we really appreciate the staff's gesture.

Overall there are many aspect need improvement, especially the quality of the food needs serious attention. Food is 1/5. Staff and waiter 4/5. But overall I had to give 2/5 due to the overall unpleasant experience...

The interior is really awesome with the blue tone and there are sitting places at the outside and inside . 🌟The restaurant is simply beautiful and cosy. 😍

🐖𝑹𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒊𝒖 𝒀𝒖𝒌 RM23.60 Roasted pork belly with Chinese five spices. This is average for us . Nicely plated with generous portion. Just hoping that the meat can be more crispy crunch & moist

The Customer service is the real stand out at Daddy & Co. 🤩So friendly and the whole cafe has a warm and minimalist style that is very inviting.💕

Over the weekend, I went to Daddy & Co to have a dinner with some friends! I was surprised by the choices as the restaurant can definitely cater to any taste! 💯

It’s a nice sports bar in SS15 that serves local and Western food! The place isn’t totally new; they’ve been running for 2 years. However, it’s a hidden gem in busy SS15 (Subang).

We decided to try a variety of western and Asian food and were nicely surprised by the presentation. It’s definitely an elevated place. 🏆

So, what did we have? 🍕Pork pizza (nice thin-crust pizza with a ton of toppings) 🥘 Wild boar curry (super tender meat and very flavoursome) 🐠 Lemon butter dory fish (fish + lemon YES!! It melted in my mouth) 🍝 Prawn garlic pasta (al dente pasta with a very distinct garlicky taste topped with fresh prawns) 🐓Chicken roulade (chicken stuffed with various veg)

We also had some cocktails: 🍸Passion margarita 🍹Barterder’a secret

Both were well-balanced and tasted good! Not overly sweet nor too strong. Good for a responsible night out! 🍻

Love their tagline “Daddy serves it right!”. I agree with it - all the food was served very right and was consistently very delicious! Kudos to the chef! 👏
