came in at around 3pm on a sunday to no crowd. there's only maybe 4-5 tables occupied out of all the tables inside. i requested to sit in one of the table on the side but they didn't let me because the table was supposed to be for at least 2 people. i mean i get that you wanted to reserve for bigger groups but there's literally no one else there? even after i left, there were still a lot of table empty... i had to be uncomfortable all the time because my table is literally at the front door entry so that was a disappointing experience for me.
as for the food, it was good overall but nothing exceptional. there was only the buffet available at the time so i chose that (RM33.90 on weekends).
i ordered the fried chickens; spicy, snow cheese, mustard kimchi, smoky bbq; the fries, and the volcano beef fried rice. out of all the fried chickens, i'd maybe recommend the spicy and the snow cheese one. the mustard kimchi is too sour for me to enjoy and the smoky bbq has neither a smoky taste nor a strong bbq flavor in it. I'd rather skip these two. the fries is actually good; hot and crispy and thickly cut. it was a bit dry because i didn't know what to dip it with. the fried rice was served hot, and they pour the eggs right in front of you. but they didn't tell you that beforehand so in case you want to film it, you have to be quick and tell them or else you'll miss the opportunity. the fried rice itself tasted okay, not spicy for me but the beef is juicy and marinated well. i also added on soft drink with unlimited refill (RM2.90) for which you can refill the drinks yourself beside their cashier counter.
the overall service is good despite the earlier disappointment. they were attentive and the food arrived quick. they'll give you a QR code for you to use throughout your dine-in so if you want to order more, you can just scan and the food will arrive at your table. you can also request for extra tissues and plastic gloves in case the one they gave you are used up.
after payment, they gave me a RM20 off voucher (T&C: weekdays before 6pm only, with at least 2 pax, valid for 1 month) buy I don't know if they give it to everyone or only the new customers. Either way, I think it is a nice gesture to lure me back here. i probably wouldn't repeat this restaurant because i live far far away from ss15, but now that I have the voucher, who knows? maybe I'll give it...

15 minutes after we placed orders, our drinks lemon tea and 7-up is not served yet. Requested the Malay lady waitress to check where is our drinks for 3 times but she looks blur and give no response at all. Until we have to walk towards the kitchen and asked for our drinks and it’s served within 2 minutes.
Then our food is served without any cutleries so again we gotta ask for it 2 times to get the cutleries to start eating. If you employ a staff who cannot communicate with customers, please assign her to kitchen work. Even when she doesn’t understand what is lemon tea, 7-up and fork spoon, she should at least get some other staff to come and check what we want instead of keep us waiting and asking again and again.
The chicken chop is very very very thin for RM22.90 and it’s served with staled coleslaw. Ewww the taste of coleslaw is unbelievable. Kimchi fried rice doesn’t taste like kimchi at all although it’s edible with slightly mushy rice texture. The mushroom soup is so watery like the owner need to cut cost by 50% and it’s so tasteless. OMG, this is not the way to operate F&B business
Overall, service is really poor that I can say any foreign worker work in those food court can communicate better than the staff here. Food quality and taste is total let down. Was given RM5 voucher for next visit, NO WAY I’m coming back again.
Oh yeah, they claimed to be the gold winner for Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2023 but a google search shown the gold winner is a curry noodles seller in OUG. So, how genuine is this claim for Moonalisa? If you’re really good, you don’t need to display your medal outside the shop to attract customers. Customers will definitely visit by recommendation if you’re really good, no need show...
Read moreA new place which appeared through social media recommendations. Nice and clean environment. Food wise, honestly it's an interesting mix of Korean with a twist. Well there's signs of Chinese cuisine influence. First is the Sizzling Beef Slices with Black Pepper Sauce and Rice. I love good tender beef and this one scores well. It did came out sizzling, meat perfectly cooked and not over cooked, not chewy either. Black pepper sauce is perfect, a bit sweet, salty and peppery as it should but, yes there's a but. The rice was burnt as in the burnt on the hot plate when it arrived on my table. Similar like those Claypot Chicken Rice but let's not be over emo bout it. Perhaps they should have served the rice separately. Still a pretty good dish. Next up the Umami Special Noodle with Korean Chicken. Noodles is very tasty despite the bland presentation. There's presence of peanut and probably sesame paste to give it the slightly coarse and nutty flavour. Chicken is tasty and have that strong tangy after taste. Not very far off sweet and sour like taste. Not spicy at all. It would have been great if the chicken batter was crispier like those offered by the famous "Kcn". That would have scored full marks here. Overall portions are pretty big and value for money. Most importantly tasty too. Not bad, not bad. However don't expect traditional Korean...
