Wedding Briyani Catering – A Total Disaster I regret placing my trust in this caterer for my wedding. We spent almost RM 40,000, and what we received on our big day was nothing short of embarrassing and heartbreaking.
Despite attending two food-tasting sessions (with family and friends) that seemed promising, the food served on our actual wedding day was a complete disaster.
Here's what went wrong: Terrible Food Quality
The Briyani was watery, oily, and tasteless—nowhere close to what we were served during the tastings.
Portions were ridiculous: guests received only two tiny pieces of chicken or mutton.
Throughout the event, 85% of our guests came up to us (the bride and groom!) that is us to complain. Even calls up to today , we are still receiving questions. What are we going to answer !
Are all these people lying? Of course not. No one would boldly say, “Your food is horrible” at a wedding unless it truly was.
Even my canteen aunty, who is also in the food industry, said it was a total mess.
Quantity & Wastage
We ordered food for 2,000 guests, but only around 800 people actually ate.
Not because the crowd was small (in fact, it was full), but because the food was so bad that people walked away.
Plates were left half-eaten everywhere. That much wasted food says it all.
No Accountability
The caterer refused to admit their mistake. Instead, they argued and gave excuses.
After the wedding, they ignored our calls and offered no apology or compensation.
They claimed the crowd was less—which is completely false—and tried to shift blame instead of taking responsibility.
Sadly, we don’t have pictures of the food, but the feedback we got was consistent and overwhelming.
Unprofessional Clean-Up
They left the venue in a mess: trash bags were lying around, the drains were clogged, and the place was unclean.
We had warned them that this would affect our deposit, but still, they ignored it.
In the end, we had to pay extra to clean up after them.
Double Standards in Payment
When it came to collecting money, they insisted everything had to be fully paid before the event.
But when it came to owning up to the failure or discussing compensation, all they could do was argue and make excuses.
Final Thoughts As a bride and groom even after speaking an reminding them multiple times checking in, I am deeply disappointed. What should have been a joyful memory turned into a humiliating experience. We placed our full trust and payment into this caterer, and they failed us miserably.
To anyone considering this vendor: please do your research properly. Don’t let your big day be ruined the way mine...

I would like to give a review on Nizam's Biryani in Puchong on bad experience which whether you willing to improve or not.
Staff 1.When i first came in to the Restaurant with my auntie, the plus size guy staff just ignored us and not attended to took an order. This is consider as rude towards customers.
2.We had ordered two biryani's one were Special Chicken Dum Biryani another one were Dum Vegetable Biryani. Your waiter gave only one Raita and one Curry. And my auntie asked back he said that we both for can finished the raita in one bowl and curry in one bowl. In the end he gave another bowl of Raita and Curry.
Food The Biryani, I had to say it's not like Hyedrabad Biryani. Its like Biryani where they are selling at Food Court which some of it similar price as food court.
2.The raita part wasn't good. There are supposed to be more onion and the curry doesn't taste like curry. Is more taste like Kuah Kacang which we eat on Satay.
My advice If you guys want to improve the restaurant image please improve your staff attitude as well as not to be rude. Secondly the taste was not like what I said Hyedrabad taste of Biryani it looks like cutting cost of food. And one more thing there are many ways you guys need to improve especially the attitude of staff as well as the taste of food by improving the image or else the name or the restaurant will be vanished in people's eyes in five to 10 years time. To said that we coming back again. I don't think...
Read moreAttended my friend's wedding where they were the caterer, the food was absolutely off in sense of taste and quality compared to the tasting session where I followed my friend and actually recommended after having their tester food in the restaurant. I'm not sure if they were overwhelmed or what by the quantity of the order they took which actually shouldn't be an issue for them being a restaurant but they just failed miserably. If you want to try their food just walk in and never, I repeat never order for catering unless you want to be disappointed. A bit about the food, the chicken tikka was basically a mixture of water and oil and chicken which has little to no taste at all similar to other items in the menu. The worse part is that not only they left all the guest, bride and groom disappointed by their food but they also dirtied the venue and clogged the drains incurring additional cost/penalty for the couple who already had spent a hefty sum on their food and the rental of the hall. Basically a disappointment and don't want...
