My family and I used to dine here during and post MCO before moving out of Puchong. We, a party of 3, visited here again for dinner today but the standard has dropped so much. They used to be good. The stem on the vegetable we ordered were not properly cleaned and cut - I found a small snail inside and could taste sand in the veg. We asked for the signature tofu but were given a different dish all together - this tofu dish had fish cake in it that looked like tofu. I am not sure if they were out of tofu and replaced it with that hoping we dont notice it. Even then the fish cake was smelly. The contents of the yam basket - the veg and chicken were not hot, just warm and borderline cold as if it was sitting there and was reheated in the microwave before serving. Thankfully the yam was freshly fried (i hope). The ginger steam fish was mediocre - the fish was too big for 3 people which costed us RM88. We checked the price but did not clarify the price. Remember to also check the size if you are ordering here. We thought they would be sensible enough to offer us a smaller fish considering it was just the 3 of us. Total damage: RM198. Unfortunately, we wont be returning to this...
Read more*I have been 8 Road (that’s how we called it) for about 10 years. Recently, the drop in quality food has gotten to re-evaluate if we should continue to dine here. Also the prices have increased tremendously.

👎🏾 2) The food quality is inconsistent. Last week was good, this week is bad, when ordering the same dish 3) I was once told by the owners, whom said I could let them know if the dishes are not good. They would either deduct from the bill or make again. This evening, we dined there, the bean curb served on hot plate was actually freezing cold. When commented about the temperature, was told the chef forgot to cook it further 4) Freshness of the ingredient is questionable. The same bean curd, tasted sour, when commented, was told the sauce may have been spoilt 5) The restaurant is often blasting with highest fan speed, lowest air-cond configurations. Feeling uncomfortable to dine there. Complained a couple of times, but still the same
Final word about 8 Road, if they want to remain in business, quality check and...

Hokkaido Lou Sang: Creative, refreshing and we actually like this better than the traditional Lou Sang. Fish lips with seafood soup: Taste extremely similar to shark fin soup. Good texture & flavor. Boiled chicken slices & roasted chicken: The white chicken slices are so tender and edible, even the breast part. Roasted chicken is a bit on the dry side and lack of flavor. Steamed river dragon grouper: The sauce/soup is really tasty, full of ginger's spiciness and aroma. Fish is ok, a bit small though. Steamed live tiger prawns with wine: Prawns are huge and super fresh, definitely best dish of the night. Abalone stir fry leek with fish maw: Fresh ingredients and satisfying portion. Fried rice in lotus leaves: Lack of flavor. Nest cake & mochi: Excellent desserts & not too sweet. Longan & almond jelly: Quite revitalizing after a heavy meal, sweetness level is just nice.
Overall, the food is decent and service...
