Restoran Al Shamiah • SS15 — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

I started dining into this restaurant before covid era. The food used to be so good. I use to take away foods from here alot, can say out of all SS15 shop this is my personal favourite. Price wise with quantity given is very fair.

I think the problem start with new management or maybe new worker coming in. They change the flavour of the chicken briyani. They reconstruct the inner section to make it look nice. Food quality dropped ever since, keep giving chances. Maybe today they will improve, I give them benefit of a doubt to support this business despite occasionally the food isn't as satisfying as before.

Today I dine in and ordered my food I spotted a small roach crawling from the chicken to the sauce didn't make any noise just ask the worker change the sauce and avoid the part where I think its not safe to eat and eat another half of the chicken.

In conclusion, if this happens on my watch I dont think it hasn't happen with other customers before. Think twice and be vigilant on the eateries u go to. The owner of the shop should do periodical cleanliness and quality food served ensuring their workers working according to proper kitchen SOP.

Cant recommend this restaurant till they fix this cause I know this has been going for months with the quality drop and now the roach appeared on my food telling me the worker doesn't even take care or ensure safety...

Love the food here. I frequent here quite a lot. Never had a reason to complain about any of the food I've tried here.

HOWEVER

This is one place I've gotten horrible service. AND I'm talking about one lady waitress here only. The guys are cools, chatty, kind.. love'em. That one lady waitress can ignore your requests on purpose. Can easily say "I don't know" and walk away when you ask what did she say place on the table. You can't ask her anything about the menu because she'd say "don't know". Zero sense of politeness and sensibility when serving food. I don't know whether she's a horrible RACIST or she's just an idiotic waitress but she's one sole reason for me to hesitate, coming back to this place.

I'm still giving 4 stars because I don't think it's right to judge the shop based on one employee of...

Got shawarma sandwhich platter. Very generous portion, with fries. And 1 chicken shawarma. The wraps were crispy as you bite into it. Pickles give it nice tang. Meat is cooked to perfection. Juicy moist delicious. Other places the meat can be dry but here it is very good. So good I ate my platter all by myself within 15min. (For reference I am a small lady who usually takes forever to finish a meal.) 10/10 will come again and try their other dishes. Reasonable price. Very friendly staff help recommend dishes. Quite fast service as we received our food takeaway not too long after arriving. Wish I would have ordered more to reheat and have at home later. Dine-in feels comfortable with fans and ac keeping indoors cool even with hot weather outside. Cosy decor...
