Probably the worst cafe I been in so far. I read about this cafe a couple of times and its mix review but I liked how the cafe looks so I decided to give it a try myself. I must say the food was horrible. Ordered eggs benedict was so dry. I could not even eat it. It was literally lightly buttered bun topped with old frozen Salmon, plain salad and an egg on top and on the other bun was with mushrooms but it wasn’t seasoned at all with an egg on it. It was extremely dry without any sauce on it. I also ordered the big breakfast which was shockingly bad. I couldn’t believe it because how can u ever go wrong with an English breakfast right but Oh My God it was bad. The mushroom was dry and not seasoned, the mash potatoes and egg was a joke. It was so dry that I could pick the entire thing up with a fork. You can see it on the video. The drinks were alright. Nothing to shout about. The service was bad. Although their restaurant was empty no one was able to serve us properly. We kept looking for someone to pass us salt and pepper or chilli sauce but everyone pretended not to hear or look so we got then ourselves. Overall I personally feel whoever cooked the food was lazy and has no intention of making the meal taste good. I think the owner should plan a surprise visit with a stranger and review the food themselves because I dont think anyone will want to eat in a place such as this. Its one of my worst.

A nice quiet cosy place for tea or lunch, (when not crowded). Came here twice in less than a month. The first time was on a public holiday. It was a little crowded but managed to get a table for 4. On that day, there were 2 customers who occupied a table for 4 each and they were on their computers. You can actually sit in this nice ambience for hours, at the expense of other waiting guests. Yes, on that holiday, a family waited for about 10 minutes before they were given a table. Thankfully they had a comfortable place to wait. Well, yesterday (Friday) it was less busy at lunch time. One section was not open (air cond off) till a few ppl took the tables. The food is mainly western. Nice options. We took the set lunch which is not much in quantity but filling enough. I was disappointed with the pumpkin soup. It was nice but I was given 1/4 of the serving bowl only. Yes, not enough to enjoy it. Must be expensive. I ordered an add on smoked duck but was surprised by the size. It's so dainty, not enough to satisfy my taste. Although I cannot deny it was good. All in all the food is good but the quantity might not be enough for a big eater. And it might be considered a little pricey.

1st time attempt to this cafe' on Sunday morning, 24th Sept. The ambience quite cool with beautiful English Home deco. There's 1 old lady greet me at the entrance very politely. For the 1st timer, of course I need to hv a look at the display pastries and cakes before place an order. The girl at the counter seems very rushed and not friendly, she's not even give a smile to the customer. When I asked a question, she answered a little bit rough (she wore a mask) maybe not too clear for my ears. Then I asked for a menu, and she gv me a menu book. Suddenly my heart blossomed back, when another staff at the back (she's baking a bread) gv me a smile. Thanks! I ate a pie, lemon meringue pie and drink a hot cafe latte. The latte was not bad for me. For the pie, what I can said for the pie filling was too sweet, eventho still hv the sour lemon taste but the sweetie taste already cut off the lemon taste. I can't finished it. Well, it's just my personal opinion. Definitely I'll comeback again to try other menu for my dinner then I will edit my review for the foods. Thanks.

Was always very fond of this place, as this was one of our 1st few dating spots when I first dated my fiancé 8 years ago but was greeted with disappointment today after a long time of not visiting.

After placing our orders at the counter with the sheet of paper we were supposed to write on, the waiter came by our table & decided to ask whether we wanted 'ham, mushroom or chicken'. We were puzzled as we only ordered desserts & no mains.

Fiancé proceeded to correct our order and the waiter replied him aloud on why does 'his writing of a C looks like a 1?' all while shaking his head. This was extremely rude of him & absolutely unnecessary as he could have just said it nicely. He also continued to tell us that next time, instead of just ordering from the menu, to go and visit the cake chiller instead to see what's available as not everything in the menu is available.

What a mood spoiler.

Firstly, your waiter could have start off being nice. Yes our writing may not have been perfect but you don't tell your customers that right? Secondly, your customers would not have known that we have to 'visit' the chiller here as there's nothing that states that.

To the Café Owners - Please do improve your customer service. This is the basic fundamental of running a business and faring poorly in this will only end up chasing your customers away. We do not normally take the time to write reviews like these but if this continues, you're going to loose more potential customers and it's going to be such a waste as we know that this place has been around for awhile and it's actually decent.

From a ex-customer that cares & hopes this does not...
