We went there because it looked like it had the best comments compared to all the other restaurants on the beach. The place is ok, nice staff. We can't say anything about the service itself because we were the only people eating there at 14h30. So obviously we didn't wait for too long. However, the portions are pretty small. We had one dish each (beef fried rice and tomyum) and were still hungry after we finished eating. The fried rice does definitely not look like the one on the menu picture, it seems 3 times smaller... Sorry, we were too hungry to actually take time to take pictures of the very small portions 😅 As we were still hungry, we hesitated between French fries, pizza or mango pancake. Unfortunately, even though it's not indicated on the menu, we were told that they only prepared pizzas in the evenings (ok..... "luckily" we thought about something different just in case). We had the bad idea of ordering a mango pancake : it was a crêpe (not a pancake, so again not like the picture on the menu) and it was more than undercooked (we had the impression that we were eating agglomerated flour and mango). Positive point though, the pineapple juice, mango juice and lime ice blended juice were good...

We came here for lunch. Chill Out Perhentian is well located right on Long Beach, with lovely views of the sea and close to the jetty. The place is modern and quite clean, which we appreciated.
You have to order at the counter, and although the staff wasn’t unfriendly, the food took longer than expected considering what we ordered and how busy it was. We had a falafel wrap and a smoothie bowl. The wrap was tasty, but the smoothie bowl didn’t impress us—there are better ones along the same beach.
One downside (not entirely the restaurant’s fault) is that many people come for a coffee and stay for hours, so there weren’t any tables available. We ended up eating on sun loungers, which wasn’t comfortable at all due to the posture and the sand. Meanwhile, some tables were occupied by people just napping with a glass of water.
Prices are slightly above average, but still within the usual range for the area. They do accept card payments, which...
Read moreWe ordered a smoothie bowl. in the menu it’s described as a tasty dish with nut topping and oats. but watch out.. its actually crushed ice with a lil flavor which we couldn’t identify, because its so weak. topped with like five to six nuts and a sprinkle of oats and a few bits of fruit, but compared to the yoghurt musli you can get at adawiya its awful. especially pricewise. we feel scammed and definitely not coming back. had also another dish ordered which was ok, but still wont recommend this spot, because of this smoothie bowl. the ambiente is nice, so as the staff, but still i want to put a signal. thats why 1 star overall..
to the owners: decrease the ice, put in some yoghurt and add more fruit to the smoothie base. add more oats and more nuts. raise the price from 20 to 25 and avoid getting downvoted from the people who...
