Ocean Boys INN — Hotel in Lesser Perhentian Island

The room is OK and it is close to the beach even if there is some music noise at night from the two club close to the hostel it is OK The problem is the owner, he is very unpleasant all the time and more he is a scammer In fact the first things he ask from use was a caution for the room and start to said us many time "if you break something you will pay the deposit" like super strange, when we arrive in the room there was a little plastic door in poor condition working with rail for closing the bathroom and we used it and the door get out of the rail and we just stop using it. At the moment of check out I ask for my deposit and the guy said I need to check the room, and he did not really check the room but just go straight for the plastic door and said we break it and we need to pay the deposit Like we were already late for catch our boat we don't really had the time to argue with him but he really don't want to know anything and start to be aggressive For sure he know this door is not working well and he ask to everyone renting this room to pay the deposit for his little plastic door going out of the rail. Basic scamming strategy, not very cleaver

Si volviera a Perhentian, no elegiría este alojamiento, a menos que cambiaran ciertas cosas. Hay otros por la zona con mejor servicio que este. Lo único bueno de Oceanboys es su ubicación, porque está en pleno Long Beach en zona de fiesta (si es lo que buscas); sabiendo esto es normal que haya ruido de noche, no entiendo las reseñas que hablan de ruido cuando se sabe que es la isla donde hay más fiesta y por ende, habrá ruido.

Lo que es el apartamento/habitación en sí no está mal, si estuviera mejor cuidado. Un punto importante y para nosotros grave, es que hay muchas zonas por donde se cuelan mosquitos y podrían trabajar en mejorar este aspecto. Nosotros tuvimos que poner repelente en todos sitios y tratar de tapar con nuestros medios cualquier posible entrada de mosquitos, así como nunca dejar la puerta abierta. Es una zona de muchos mosquitos (esto obviamente nada tiene que ver con el alojamiento), por lo que deberían esforzarse en tratar de que no entren.

Lo peor de todo y el principal motivo por el que no lo recomiendo el alojamiento, es la mala o nula limpieza. Estuvimos alojados 4 noches y nunca pasaron ni siquiera a retirar la basura. Sabíamos que íbamos a otro país diferente y no se puede esperar un servicio "europeo", pero el baño después de 4 días en una habitación donde habían 3 personas, imaginen cómo estaba.. Además de eso, las sábanas tenían manchas muy raras y un día que rodé la cama, me encontré basura debajo (una pinza de pelo y un paquete vacío de un croissant). Es decir, que ni se habían molestado en rodar las camas para limpiar y a saber cuántos años llevaría eso ahí.

En cuanto al personal, se podría decir que fueron amables; en la "recepción" hay de todo lo que puedas necesitar durante la estancia y el precio está bien. Te solicitan un depósito al llegar de 100MYR que te devuelven a la salida sin ni siquiera revisar la habitación.

En definitiva, con poco esfuerzo podrían mejorar mucho, pero yo personalmente tras mi experiencia, no...

I'm rating the snorkeling service: Positive: you can pay by credit card, nothing else. Negative: we booked a snorkeling trip (long). Forst they tried to encourage us to take another, what we didn't do. They told us a time, we waited for more than 30min to then be shown to another guy, who told us we were late.
