[TL;DR] I usually don’t like to waste time writing a bad review but I guess more people should voice out when service quality is beyond comprehension rude. So, I have no choice but to reevaluate my rating and review I shared 5 years ago. No doubt, the food is really good but whole experience spoiled with the bad service attitude, SUERASA staff if I could generalize. If you feel the team should move her to the back kitchen or dish cleaning area, mark this review as HELPFUL so we can have this review to the store's attention.
More details on the incident: It's just 3 of us, and another two behind the queue. No pressure from the queue as well as we just made to our turn. It is a self-service, we ordered to dine in, but their grilled/roasted beef is not yet served. And this random old lady appeared at the service area and told us exactly this “gerak tepi la kalau nak bincang, orang lain nak tengok lauk” (translated: “go away if you wanna discuss your order so other people get to turn to look at the foods”) Here’s the problem: We all waiting for our grilled/roasted beef (Daging Bakar) to be served since we order to dine-in There are only two people behind us at that time and they are capable of looking at the food, it is open area serving (let’s not talk about how the food is exposed to the dirt from the busy roadside) You are just plain rude, I might have Karen's behavior if it was only opinion of mine, but all three of us noticed such attitude. We’re like “what the heck with this old woman being so rude!”
We feel that this woman shouldn’t be in the front service area; to neither serve customers nor collect payment. I’m gonna vent out if this happened to me again, especially when I have brought along a companion of friends around the world to enjoy your food. It is a major turn-off. Might not do much significance but this restaurant is off-the-list from my recommendation in my AirBnb guide or Terengganu recommended places for the time being until the service...
Read moreSaw the queue early in the morning two days in a row, but since we were in a hurry - did not stop to find out why.
However during a stint to look for a place to have lunch, stumble across this place again. Didn't know that they do only breakfast and by 1pm they would be closing.
However we still managed to get out hand on the nasi kerabu and the queue was justified. Nasi Kerabu is definitely one of the best I've tasted.
The signature drinks of Teh Peng Jebok unfortunately ran out. Anyhow the drinks are extra sweet, you could easily makes two drinks from one by adding water ... And it still be sweet enough to add ice. People in KT need to tell us where they get free sugar 😂
In term of prices ... It's ok, not too pricey (if you follow me - I'm very reasonable when it comes to prices).
Nasi Kerabu = RM2.50 Nasi Kerabu + Ayam/Daging Bakar = RM4 Nasi Kerabu + Ayam + Daging Bakar = RM6 Telur Masin/Solok Lada = 50¢ Ayam Goreng = RM2.50 Ayam Gulai = RM1.50 Ikan = RM1.50
So its a acceptable price, if you want cheaper than this - I'm afraid you need to cook yourself.
Don't be fooled, is one of the top 50 street food in 2017, and not the top 50 restaurant in the world. That is a big difference there! 😁
When we were there - the heat in the shop was unbearable, you might be better off enjoyed the meal in the morning and not in afternoon. The amount of fan could not disperse the heat.
The owner Mohd Fauzi was at the shop entertaining his friends, was hoping he would pop over and said "hai" and did some PR works. Maybe the guy is an introvert - (surely didn't look that way when he was talking to...
Read moreEYMA NASI KERABU Ayam Bakar in Bachok is way way way nicer. I think this place is way overated. The grilled chicken is not the nicest. Solok lada ( grated coconut with fish stuffed into a big green chilli pepper) is not authentic. I think there is about 5% of fish give or take inside the mixture as supposed 50% or higher. I dont taste any fish in it. My niece ordered ices milo and she stopped drinking after one sip. Definitely not the milo that we asked for. Im not being picky but if u dont serve what u sell, thats a fraud. Overall, we had an okay lunch but to say it is one of the best nasi kerabu, that is a lie or maybe you need to explore more. Sometimes, u get to taste better and nicer nasi kerabu if u go to smaller restaurants. Try EYMA nasi kerabu ayam bakar in Bachok. So far my sister and i both agreed they served way better nasi kerabu than here and they really give u iced milo.not some generic brand of...
