Burger King Maldives — Restaurant in Malé

We went in the afternoon after work, and the place was pretty much empty. There was a promo at the time:- Two Chicken Burgurs, 6 chicken nuggets, 2 fries and 2 cokes for only 200rf ($12). Sweet deal. It was easy to order and pay (with Card) and find a good spot to sit. The Staff seemed busy, but they were Friendly. Once you place your order, they give you a small device that beeps when your Order is ready- very cool idea. The interior was nice, but We sat outside, and there was a good view of the ocean and airport.

Our table was really small, and we found that it has not been cleaned properly after the previous customers left - there were Fries on the ground below, and bread crumbs and all over the table. We had to clean the table ourselves. The Food was ready before long and it tasted just Okay considering the price.

One of the Staff switched of the Lights when I was in the Rest Room and that was not a pleasant experience. I think she didnt know anyone was in. It probably happened because the washroom and restroom light switches are on the outside - not a good design.

Overall good experience but Not as good...

Appreciate the food, yet had to deal with a rather poor first-time Burger King’s call center ordering service. Was not up to par to BK’s international standard (having rendered from other overseas outlets). Suggest quality improvement through call monitoring.

Had to constantly ask to repeat the question, as the voice at the other end of the line was barely audible, not to mention the lack of effort. It was quite an agonising process.

And at the end of the call, I wasn’t even sure whether the order was complete. I only caught an inaudible murmur of ‘...40 minutes’. There was no ‘thank you for...’, and the line hanged up.

Even with uncertainty, I am hoping the food will...

I've had whoppers and cheese burgers from other countries and loved them so much. Tried the burger king in Maldives, had a whopper and a cheese burger, and it was a horrible. Paid so much more than any other burger king and yet the quality of burger I received was so disappointing. The burger was as thick as the cheese slice. Had raw food after taste. The service was good and the atmosphere is very nice. I expected same quality as other burger kings, some countries don't...
