Cafe De Paris — Restaurant in Marsaxlokk

No one should go there!! If i coud, i would give 0 stars. The staff was extremely rude. We wanted to have a coffe, we had, it was acceptable. Altough during we ordered, our waiter was not looking at us, whatever i asked, the answer was "no" (maybe they have lactose free milk, do they have green tea or fruit tea), and i cant even finish ordering, because the waiter went away while i was talking. (: (I know this was the point when we should have stand up and leave, but we didnt) But when we wanted to pay, the waiter (who was wearing an old, torn, undemanding sweatpants, okay, this cafe is not the most expensive one in town, but the waiters shoud be wear at least decent clothes) immediately said 12 € for 2 esspresso, 2 cappuccinos and a kinnie, however, the menu said 1 esspresso cost 1 euro, and 1 cappuccino cost 1,5 euro, kinnie was not on the menu. When I mentioned, that we saw the prices on the menu and the total amount is not correct, he said aggressively: "It was an old menu" and "Okay then give me 5,5 €, and I am gonna pay the rest for you!". Terrible service, I never complain but I feel so disappointed with our treatment I am compelled to write a review. We visit this lovely place every visit to Malta, unfortunately it was ruined by the very rude staff at this place. The waiter tried to get us to change our order to get more money, he then sat down chatting & didn’t get our drinks for 25 minutes we sat there & the lovely lad who brought our starters apologised & got our wine. The waitress kept walking passed not collecting our dirty dishes so when our meal came they had nowhere to put it. After our tasteless meal the pots weren’t collected again for 20 minutes leaving flies round us & we asked for the bill & a rude woman just said 22 no please or thank you 😡needless to say we didn’t leave a tip & couldn’t get away fast enough.will go to the 3 sisters next time as that was lovely on our last visit. We were waiting for the meal more than one hour, after we called them and wanted to go away, they brought the food. Didn't offer anything for a compensation and the staff was totally incapable and rude. When they brought the food the quality was bad. We had pouched mussels a 7 of them were closed so not eatable and already old. Pizza was pretty bad too. The mixed fish wasn't flavoured well, and wasn't fresh, just 3 kind of fish, half of it was salmon and even though the other two were different (cod, swordfish) they tasted the same, and to add half of the plate was lettuce salad. Just go to the Carrubia restaurant (next to this one)the food is really good and the price is almost the same. To add on it after I came home and read the reviews. I've just found out that they charged us 8€ more. Never again, beware...
