From the moment I arrived, Liska’s inviting exterior, with its blend of modern elegance and subtle charm, immediately set a promising tone. The restaurant’s design is understated yet sophisticated, reflecting an environment where attention to detail and comfort go hand in hand. Inside, each member of staff welcomed us with his warm demeanor and genuine smile, setting the stage for an extraordinary dining experience.

The atmosphere at Liska is both luxurious and welcoming, with tasteful décor and large windows framing views of the bustling Marsaxlokk port. The restaurant's open kitchen is a standout feature, offering a dynamic and transparent glimpse into the culinary artistry at work. Watching the chefs prepare each dish with precision and passion added a captivating element to the meal.

Our lunchtime culinary adventure began with a complimentary fish aljotta, a traditional Maltese fish soup that was both flavourful and warming.

For starters, my friend savoured the homemade ravioli stuffed with fresh grouper, while I indulged in a magnificent plate of crudo, showcasing the freshest local fish with a wakame salad and fresh caviar. This was followed by a refreshing lemon sorbet that expertly cleansed our palates and prepared us for the main courses.

For the main event, Liska delivered a platter that surpassed all expectations. It featured two freshly caught lobsters from the restaurant’s aquarium, along with fresh local red prawns, both bathed in a creamy tomato sauce. Complementing this were a fritto misto which consisted of, calamari and fresh pieces of fish, tender octopus, and a lavish serving of fresh caviar that was simply exquisite. A large side of fries, freshly baked potatoes and fresh salad and coleslaw where also served but unfortunately we were to full to enjoy them.

Despite being quite full, I could not resist finishing with a homemade chocolate and pistachio ice cream with locally freshly fried mqaret, which perfectly satisfied my sweet tooth. To conclude the meal, a rich, aromatic coffee provided a fitting end to an exceptional lunch.

Adding to the luxurious experience, we enjoyed an aperitif and two bottles of the lovely Peter Lehmann, Layers 27 Australian white wine, which paired beautifully with our meal and elevated the entire afternoon. This thoughtful selection enhanced every bite, making the flavours of the seafood even more vibrant.

The service was impeccable, with each member of the staff demonstrating fantastic attention to detail without being intrusive. Their professionalism ensured that our experience was seamless and enjoyable, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the culinary delights of Liska.

The final price came to €230, a fair sum considering the quality, quantity, and the overall exceptional experience of the five courses provided. Liska Restaurant is a celebration of fine dining where every aspect—from the impeccable service and inviting ambiance to the outstanding culinary creations—contributes to a memorable experience. Each visit leaves you not only satisfied but eager to return, making it a true standout in Malta’s vibrant...

A long review but one that needs to be wrote up because ultimately they deserve it. Take this long essay as testimony to how much I value this place as a restaurant!

Me and My wife agree this has been the nicest establishment we have chosen to eat at on our honeymoon after stumbling upon it whilst strolling looking for dinner, and what a Joy it was!

Firstly on walking through the doors we were immediately greeted, put at ease and offered fine seats to which they checked Incase we preferred elsewhere. On sitting we were provided with a clear list of options ( I myself had been wanting lobster for some time so went to browse the tank) on doing so the one of the waiters came over and explained the cost and locality of them and their individual types. As a man from a British town that regularly catches lobster it was nice to see the waiters take a clear interest in what they are serving.

Lobster picked (and the wife now happy with a risotto) we picked out a white Maltese wine (Chardonnay) that was just fantastic, that alongside the fresh complementary bread and cold still water the evening was off to a fantastic start.

Then the lobster arrived . And my word what a beautiful sight it was - fantastically cooked and presented and clearly only the best fresh ingredients had been used . My wife's risotto also stands out for the fantastic flavour again to which she said she was blown away by!

Sadly towards the end of the evening my wife began to fell a tad unwell , weather that be sun or miles of walking either way not ideal at a romantic meal - I had a chat with the waiter and asked if they could get us a table outside for a bit and within seconds the rest of her meal was boxed up to take away and we were outside on a new separate table with more water provided to help her and the urgency of all the staff who offered a wet towel or whatever we needed to finish the night well... Safe to say after coffee and cake (whilst the wife had water and a slither of my cake) and the meal finished alot better with her now feeling back to normal and feeling well looked after.

The staff at this restaurant care about you . Care about the food and deliver a service they should be proud to call their own. I will be returning here the moment I touch back down in Malta without question. and if your reading this review unsure if you should go . Do . Because I think if not you're losing out on what I believe may be your best meal on the island.

Fantastic team . Fantastic care for us both even during the little wobble of health and can't wait to...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a seafood restaurant in Malta, and I must say that the experience was truly exceptional. From start to finish, the restaurant provided a delightful culinary adventure that left me feeling fully satisfied and incredibly impressed.

Firstly, the ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The decor was tasteful and elegant, and the seating arrangements were comfortable and intimate, making it the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a relaxed meal with friends and family.

As for the food, I must say that it was some of the freshest and most delicious seafood that I have ever tasted. Every dish was prepared to perfection, with a careful attention to detail that truly elevated each ingredient and flavor. From the succulent prawns to the perfectly cooked octopus, every bite was a delight for the senses.

What really set this restaurant apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that our every need was met and that we were fully satisfied with our dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they were able to provide helpful recommendations and suggestions throughout the meal.

Overall, I would highly recommend this seafood restaurant to anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience in Malta. The food, ambiance, and service were all top-notch, and I can't wait to return for another...
